Senior attackman John McCurry produced his fourth game of 10 or more points this season and junior midfielder Shea Brennan set a career-high for assists in a game to lead the Knights (15-8) past the Cougars (12-8) and into the sectional semifinals.

McCurry sank seven goals and added three assists for 10 points to give him 68 goals and 57 assists for 125 points, all of which are career-high totals. Brennan scored three goals and added five assists to tie his career-best performance for points in a game set earlier this season. Senior midfielder Pat Donohue scored twice while junior midfielder Will Madden, senior midfielder Connor Moore, and freshman midfielder Patrick Freud each scored once.

Sophomore FOGO Michael Hoarle won 16 of 22 face-offs and picked up 13 ground balls and junior goalie Lucas Seelinger made eight saves.

Wall will host No. 3 Somerville in the semifinals on Saturday.

(9) CBA 10, (8) Bergen Catholic 9 (OT)

Senior attackman Brendan Donnelly scored the game-winning goal off an assist from senior midfielder Ian Macrae one minute into the overtime period to complete a fantastic rally by the Colts (11-7) to defeat the Crusaders (8-11) and advance to the state quarterfinals.

CBA trailed 5-4 at halftime and 8-4 in the third quarter before battling back to force overtime. Senior attackman Nick Blalock powered the Colts' offense with four goals and three assists and delivered the game-tying goal with 30 seconds left in regulation. Sophomore attackman Carter McGuire scored three goals while Donnelly, junior attackman Ryan Martin, and sophomore midfielder Davis Campbell each scored once. Junior goalie Brandon DeSena made nine saves to backstop the victory.

Blalock's goal at 4:50 of the second quarter gave CBA a 4-3 lead but Bergen Catholic scored the next five goals spanning the second and third quarters to take an 8-4 advantage. Martin and McGuire scored in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 8-6 and McGuire scored his third 1:15 into the fourth quarter to pull CBA within a goal. Bergen Catholic regained a two-goal lead when Jack Tenaglia scored at 7:38, but Blalock scored at 2:21 and again in the final minute to knot the score 9-9 and force overtime.

CBA will play at No. 1 Seton Hall Prep in the quarterfinals.

(5) Red Bank Catholic 17, (12) Union Catholic 2

Senior attackman Sam Fertal netted five goals and one assist and junior attackman/backup goalie Gianvito Viola scored four goals as the Caseys (11-7) ran roughshod over the Vikings (10-8) to advance to the state quarterfinals.

Viola's four goals were the first of his varsity career. Junior attackman Peter Villare totaled two goals and four assists, senior midfielder Torin Harmon tallied two goals and three assists, and freshman midfielder Frank Tackett sank two goals and dished out two assists. Junior defenseman Connor Harms added a goal, an assist, and nine ground balls, and sophomore attackman Leo Cosimano scored once. Senior goalie Christain Schrader made six saves.

Red Bank Catholic awaits the winner of the game between No. 4 Immaculata and No. 13 Eastern Christian.
