With the high school basketball season officially over and St. John Vianney claiming the last-ever Tournament of Champions title, it's time to recap the 2021-22 girls season at the Shore, which was -- save for a few COVID-related pauses early in the season -- the first complete basketball season played in New Jersey since 2018-19.

The 2021-22 season at the Shore included one of the greatest seasons ever authored in the girls game and on top of the team accomplishments, individual highlights included the Shore Conference having the New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year.

Over the next few days, the Shore Sports Network will be unveiling its postseason awards and honors, which include Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-Shore Teams and All-Division honorees all through a partnership with the Shore Girls Basketball Coaches Association.
