Seaview Orthopaedics Girls Basketball Week 5 Player of the Week
Maddie Bell, Lacey
Bell has been a double-double waiting to happen this season and last week, the senior posted three of them in helping the Lions go 2-1.
Despite her team losing a competitive, 63-61, game vs. Manchester, Bell put up 18 points and 19 rebounds against the Hawks, then followed that up with 29 and 15 in a win over Pinelands and 11 and 10 vs. Washington Township in the South vs. Shore showcase at Rancocas Valley.
For the season, Bell is leading Lacey with 12.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while guiding her team to a 12-4 start.
Bell won the Week 5 contest with 33 percent of the votes cast, which topped runner-up Amber Williams of Jackson Memorial, who garnered 20 percent of vote. As the latest Seaview Orthopaedics Player of the Week in girls basketball for the 2021-22 season, Bell will be awarded a $25 gift card to Jersey Mike's.
