Howell 48, Freehold 33

Senior guard Jessica O'Brien worked both end of the floor for the Rebels (7-1, 4-1), complementing a game-high 14 points and three assists with four rebounds as well as six steals.

Senior guard Alexis Post gathered 11 points, six rebounds and three steals and sophomore guard Grace Leary had nine points while classmates Mackenzie Bruno and Caitlin Gresko scored six apiece and combined for seven boards. Howell, which extended its win streak to six, set the tone from the outset, racing to a 22-4 lead in the first quarter.

Junior forward Samantha Abbate topped Freehold (3-8, 0-6) with 10 points.

No. 6 Middletown South 47, Long Branch 37

Leading by just three, 16-13, at the half, Middletown South (8-1, 5-0) created some breathing room with an 18-11 showing in the third to boost its advantage to 34-24.

Junior guard Stephanie Mayerhofer paced a balanced offensive showing with 12 points and accounted for four of the eight 3-pointers sunk by the Eagles. Senior forward Samantha Keenan chipped in with six points while senior point guard Isla Brennan and junior swing Kayla Richardson scored five each.

After missing the previous four games, 6-0 junior swing Anyssa Fields returned with 22 points and 15 rebounds for Long Branch (3-5, 1-4).

A Central

No. 2 St. Rose 56, Raritan 14

Senior guard Lauren Lithgow provided a game-high 10 points and senior forward Samantha Mikos backed nine points with eight rebounds to pace the Purple Roses (8-0, 6-0), who built a 22-7 cushion in the first quarter.

Sophomore guard Abby Antognoli had nine points and Mary Donnelly cleared eight rebounds in the triumph while sisters Maggie and Maureen Stapleton combined for 13 points, six boads, three assists and a steal.

Holmdel 48, Monmouth 31

The Hornets (4-5, 2-4) picked up their fourth win in five outings behind an offensive load evenly dispersed.

Leah Nolan, a 5-10 junior forward, dropped in 10 points while 5-7 sophomore forward Olivia Palmer and 5-8 sophomore forward Ryann Taylor delivered nine apiece for Holmdel, which roared to a 20-0 lead in the first eight minutes. Junior guard Carson Fontana supplied seven points in the win.

Jillian Vigil and Teyonce Wilson had six points each for Monmouth (0-11, 0-6).

No. 9 Rumson-Fair Haven 35, Shore 25

Sophia Passalaqua buried a trio of 3-pointers on her way to a team-high 11 points and Lucy Adams collected five points, 10 rebounds, three blocks, two assists and a pair of steals as the Bulldogs improved to 5-4 and 3-3 in A Central.

Sophomore guard Grace Munt ripped down nine boards, handing out three assists and scored five for RFH. Sophomore guard Madison LaRosa had 10 points for Shore (6-6, 1-5).

No. 4 Manasquan 75, No. 5 Red Bank Catholic 48

Senior guard Lola Mullaney poured in 31 points to lead four players in double figures as the Warriors (8-2, 5-1) moved on from Tuesday's loss to No. 2 St. Rose with a dominating display.

Senior swing Faith Masonius drilled three treys en route to 20 points and matched Mullaney for rebounding honors with nine boards. Junior Kate Leturgez and freshman Brooke Hollawell scored 10 apiece.

Senior guard Julia Setaro led Red Bank Catholic (7-4, 4-2) with 16 points and sophomore guard Sophia Sabino added 11.

B North

No. 1 St. John Vianney 84, Neptune 22

Senior Brelynn Bellamy pumped in 19 points fueled by four 3-pointers and senior Sajada Bonner buried four triples on course to scoring 14 for the Lady Lancers (8-1, 6-0), who roared to a 45-9 lead by halftime.

Sophomore Katie Hill chipped in with 10 points, 6-2 freshman Megan Cahalan cleared eight rebounds, senior guard Sarah Karpell compiled eight points and five assists and senior guard Rahmena Henderson had six points, five steals and five boards.

Freshman Amaya Evans had 13 points for Neptune (5-4, 3-3).

Red Bank 47, Matawan 29

Sophomore Mia Strand erupted for a career-high 16 points and sophomore guard Chloe Teter picked up 10 points, four steals and three assists for the Bucs (7-3, 4-2), who fashioned a 28-11 halftime lead.

Sophomore guard Caitlyn Decker supplied six points, five assists, five rebounds and three steals and classmate Mia Conti ended with six points and seven boards for Red Bank.

Gianna Aiello, a 6-3 sophomore, scored eight and senior guard Khoryn Bannis dropped in seven for Matawan (2-8, 1-5).

Middletown North 42, Ocean 30

Junior forward Hayley Stratton deposited 11 points while senior guard Melissa Golembieski and sophomore backcourt partner Victoria Palladino netted nine apiece for the Lions (6-5, 3-3), who outscored Ocean, 25-10, in the second half.

Sophia Memon, a 6-1 sophomore, added six points, 11 rebound and three blocked shots for Middletown North.

Senior forward Morgan Bartlett led all scores with 14 for Ocean (6-5, 2-4).

No. 10 Colts Neck 51, Wall 31

The Cougars (6-3, 5-1) parlayed a 15-4 showing in the third quarter into a 35-22 lead. Junior guard Camryn Foltz was responsible for 19 points and senior forward Eva Gibson accounted for 15.

Junior guard Nikki Russo led Wall (1-10, 0-6) with 13 points while Abby Nonnenberg and Megan White scored four apiece and combined for 17 rebounds.

Non-Divisional

Southern 48, Manalapan 36

Junior Kaela Curtin posted a double-double, balancing 15 points with 11 rebounds as well as four steals for Southern (5-5).

Senior Jacqueline Ward collected 15 points, five assists, four rebounds and four steals and junior Sam Del Rio ended with 10 points and four boards for the Rams.

Carlyn Deaver paced Manalapan (3-6) with 15 points.
