Senior guard Alexis Post scored 16 and senior guard Jessica O'Brien netted 11 to lift Howell (5-1) to the Blue Devil Holiday Tournament title. Grace Leary added nine points and Caitlin Gresko had eight to help the Rebels extend their winning streak to five.

Madison LaRosa scored a game-high 18 and Chloe Wollman had 10 for Shore (4-3).

CONSOLATION ROUND

Manalapan 43, CSI/McCown (NY) 23

Carlyn Deaver pumped in 18 points and her sister Cassidy netted nine of her 17 from the foul line to pace Manalapan (2-4). The Braves parlayed a 27-7 burst over the second and third quarters to build a 36-14 advantage.

Freehold Twp. 72, Middletown North 53

Sophomore Hannah Orloff, a 6-2 center, dropped in a season-high 28 points for the Patriots (4-2), who used a 15-9 third quarter to open a 52-39 lead. Sophomore guard Tanya Elsbree scored 13 and sophomore forward Kaylie Elsbree added 11.

Senior guard Melissa Golembieski netted a season-high 17 for Middletown North (4-3) and Ellie Kacen had 11 for the Lions.

Jackson Liberty 39, Lacey 34

The backcourt duo of sophomore Maura Carney and senior Hailey McGee was instrumental in pointing resilient Jackson Liberty (4-3) to the crown.

Jackson Liberty, which offset 0-3 start by ratcheting up its defense in going 4-0 during the tournament, grabbed a 15-8 lead only to have Lacey (4-3) counter with a 10-1 rebuttal that earned it a 18-16 edge at the half. Liberty regrouped and used a 13-4 showing in the third to create a 29-22 gap in its favor.

Carney and McGee were active at both ends of the floor. The former picked up 10 points, six steal and two rebounds while the latter ended with 10 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists as Jackson Liberty avenged a 57-51 setback to Lacey on Dec. 18.

Brianna Scott and Allie Toth both scored eight for Lacey.

CONSOLATION ROUND

Lakewood 28, Monmouth 22

Point Beach 48, Brick 34

Carleigh Burns dropped in 12 points and McKayla Hughes scored 11 for Point Beach (5-1), which outscored Brick, 26-15, in the second half.

Erika Cameron topped Brick (1-5) with 12 points.

Barnegat 46, Old Bridge 30

Senior forwards Jada Baker and Sydney Boyer each posted a double-double to fuel Barnegat (4-3).

Baker totaled 14 points and 18 rebounds while Boyer contributed 14 points and 10 boards. Freshman swing Kya Joseph chipped in with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

CHAMPIONSHIP

1-Manchester 83, 7-Marlboro 41

Holding a 19-17 lead with 5:11 in the second quarter, top-seeded Manchester (7-0) put together an explosive burst en route to its second straight WOBM Christmas Classic title.

The Hawks closed the first half with a 20-4 tear and outscored seventh-seeded Marlboro (6-1), 33-4, in the third to build a commanding 72-25 cushion. Sophomore swing Destiny Adams, the tournament's MVP, pumped in 20 of her 27 points in the third quarter and senior guard Leilani Correa, who also clicked for 27 points. supplied 22 during the game-changing surge.

Adams added 13 rebounds, five assists and three blocks while Correa collected 11 rebounds, three assists and five steals. Senior forward Dakota Adams had 10 points, five boards, two assists and two steals, junior point guard Kemari Reynolds provided six rebounds, four assists and four points and junior guard Serenity Anderson had seven rebounds, three assists and three points.

Together, Manchester's starting five was instrumental in inducing 34 turnovers, limiting Marlboro to a 14-for-63 night from the field and owned a telling 47-32 advantage on the glass.

Junior guard Sam Nocco topped Marlboro with 11 points and sophomore guard Laura Morehead added eight for the Mustangs, who shot 8 of 33 from 3-point range.

THIRD-PLACE CONSOLATION

3-Toms River North 67, 4-Ewing 36

Senior forward Jenna Paul set an early tone for the Mariners (6-1) by scoring 13 of her 32 points in the first eight minutes to key an 18-7 start. Senior guard Brielle Bisogno scored eight points.

Senior Jaycee Lowe had nine points for Ewing, including the 1,000th of her career.
