Russell Romano's second-half goal was enough as the Colts (3-1, 3-1) edged the Patriots (4-2, 3-2) for their third straight win after an 0-1 start.
No. 3 Colts Neck 2, Middletown North 1
Jason Tonelli broke a 1-1 tie with his second goal of the game in the 54th minute off a find from Mick Lee and the Cougars (3-0-1, 3-0-1) remained unbeaten by beating the Lions (1-3, 1-3). Senior Georges Fiori scored the equalizer in the 50th minute after Tonelli opened the scoring in the 24th minute off a pass from Kevin Murich.
Marlboro 3, Middletown South 0
The Mustangs (1-4, 1-3) rode first-half goals by Fil Cautadella, Bryan DaSilva and Ben Metzger to their first win of the season, a shutout victory over the Eagles (0-5, 0-5). DaSilva and Metzger also added an assist each.
Class A Central
Raritan 3, Monmouth 1
John McAree and Ryan Casciani scored first-half goals and Casey Tripolitis added one in the 66th minute as the Rockets (4-1-1, 2-1-1) took down the Falcons (0-5, 0-4) to remain unbeaten since an opening-night loss to Holmdel. Patrick Goggins also added two assists for Raritan.
Junior Spencer Dunn got Monmouth on the board with a goal in the 68th minute.
No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 5, St. John Vianney 1
Senior Pete Martin scored a first-half goal and assisted all three second-half goals by the Bulldogs as Rumson (4-0-1, 3-0-1) remained unbeaten by rolling past the Lancers (2-3, 1-3). Paul Criscitello scored two goals in the second-half outburst, while Mike Slutz also scored in the second half and assisted the first goal of the game by Eamon Kitson in the first minute.

Jason Kyriacou scored off a set-up from Nick Zolofra with five minutes left in the game and the Hornets (5-1, 4-1)edged the Warriors (3-3, 2-3) and gave sophomore goalkeeper Tyler Marchiano his fourth shutout of the season.

Freehold 2, Neptune 1
Moises Garcia and Jack LeMunyon scored a goal each and the Colonials (2-3-1, 2-1-1) picked up a road win over the Scarlet Fliers (3-5, 1-4). Aquilas Dos Santos scored the lone Neptune goal.
No. 1 Ocean 2, No. 9 Long Branch 0
Wadneson Alexis broke a scoreless tie with his sixth goal of the season in the 52nd minute and Justin Silverberg converted a penalty kick in the 68th to help the Spartans (5-0-1, 3-0-1) top the Green Wave (2-2-2, 1-1-2) and remain unbeaten. Senior goalkeeper Chris Seager earned a shutout by making seven saves, helping the Spartans offset a 16-7 advantage in shots for Long Branch.
Red Bank 2, No. 10 Matawan 1
Junior Dylan Fogerty scored two goals, including the game-winner in the 57th minute off a cross from Justin Gilson, as the Bucs (1-5, 1-4) picked up their first win of the season by slowing down the surging Huskies (3-2, 3-2). Sam Labinger scored the tying goal 1:40 before halftime after Fogerty scored off a feed from Sam MacPherson to open the scoring in the 32nd minute.
