Shore boasts one of the conference’s younger rosters, so the third week of the season was a special one for one of its senior leaders. Silveira scored both goals – including the golden goal – in a 2-1 overtime win over Red Bank Catholic on Senior Night to give Shore its first win of the season.

The Blue Devils returned to the field Saturday morning and made sure it would not tak overtime to bear RBC a second time. Silveira was one of four different Shore players to score a goal in a 4-1 Blue Devils win over the Caseys to sweep the regular-season series between the Class A Central foes.

Silveira took home the gold in this week's Player of the Week poll with 30 percent of the vote and was one of five nominees to draw at least 10 percent of the vote: Johnny Hart of Pinelands (23 percent), Jack Fanning of Brick Memorial (16), Denzel Boateng of Middletown North (11) and Muberaq Aderogba of Manchester (10).
