Boys Basketball – Week 6 Player of the Week Winner: Anthony Argondizza, Brick Mem.
Week Six Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey Player of the Week
Anthony Argondizza, Brick Memorial
Two years ago, Anthony Argondizza was a sophomore in a rebuilding phase at Brick Memorial that seemed a long was from a payoff. Now as a senior, Argondizza is a leader on a Mustangs team on the verge of returning to the Shore Conference and NJSIAA Tournaments.
Brick Memorial closed out last week with a loss to Donovan Catholic, but handled its business in two divisional games against tough opponents earlier in the week. Argondizza was right in the middle of things throughout that stretch and his best performance came in another big Mustangs win over rival Brick.
In Brick Memorials 56-53 Win over cross town rival Brick, Brick Memorials Anthony Argondizza had a night to remember. 21 points, 4 for 4 from three, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. Huge night for the senior captain. @Matt_Manley @anthonyargo13 @APPSportsDesk pic.twitter.com/ANfbINE355

Argondizza scored a team-high 21 points to help his team deal the Green Dragons a season sweep - both of which came down the wire. He also scored 10 in a win over Central and 14 in the loss to the Griffins.
Argondizza won this week's Player of the Week vote with nearly 61 percent of the more than 6,000 votes cast. That comfortably beat out Donovan Catholic junior Phil Mylod, who finished second at just under 30 percent.
