Class A North

Middletown North 0, Howell 2 (25-18, 25-12)

The Rebels got off to a 2-0 start on the season with their two-set victory over Middletown North today. Savannah Torres had 16 assists while Sienna Socha-Soares had 11 service points and 9 aces in the win for Howell.

No. 13 Freehold Boro 2, No. 3 Colts Neck 1 (25-27, 25-18. 25-19)

The Colonials fought from a set down to take down No. 3 Colts Neck. Dari Tysdypova had 12 assists followed by Jazyah Benton’s 11 service points for Freehold Boro.

Class B North

No. 4 St. John Vianney 2, No. 11 Raritan 1 (25-18, 18-25, 25-9)

Giavanna Sergi and Ayana Warren put on a clinic for the Lancers in their three-set victory over Raritan. Sergi set a program single-game record with 27 digs while Warren had 32 assists. Julia DelMasto had 12 digs in the loss for the Rockets.

Sergi now has 202 career digs in just a little over a full season.

No. 8 Red Bank Catholic 2, Red Bank Regional 0

No. 15 Wall 2, Holmdel 0 (25-17, 25-19)

Class B Central

Point Beach 2, Manasquan 1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-22)

The Garnet Gulls picked up their first victory over Manasquan in three sets.

Danni Forrester, Nicole Jacobs, and Elena Weinseimer each tallied double digits in digs for Manasquan.

Nondivisional

No. 9 Barnegat 2, No. 6 Rumson-Fair Haven 0 (25-23, 25-16)

Barnegat continued to trend in the right direction under Coach Dancisin, defeating No. 6 Rumson-Fair Haven in consecutive sets. Ashley Berger had 15 kills for the Bengals while Cassidi Van Horn put up six digs, five kills, and four aces. (More to come.)

Non-Conference

No. 1 Southern 2, Old Bridge 0 (25-16, 25-18)

Southern Regional took on state-ranked Old Bridge in a non-conference matchup, which saw the number one team in the Shore win in convincing fashion. Molly Regulski had 16 assists while Bryn Hagen had 10 service points for the Rams.
