Thrive Week 1 Girls Soccer Player of the Week

Jordyn Bauer, Marlboro

Freshman Jordyn Bauer from Marlboro High School has had a great start to her career high-school career. First, Bauer won the trust of her teammates and Coach Marc Strumwasser in the preseason enough to be named the starting goalie for the Mustangs.

Now, she has been chosen by the fans as the first Thrive Girls Soccer Player of the Week in the 2023 season.

Bauer's performance in goal has helped Marlboro to a 4-1-1 start that has moved the Mustangs up the rankings to No. 8 in the Shore Sports Network Shore 16. She has earned two shutouts in the first week of the girls soccer season but her best performance came against No. 10 St. John Vianney. Bauer made key saves against SJV to help Marlboro win, 2-1, in overtime.
