LONG BRANCH - Senior Dan Largey continued his outstanding start to the season by dropping in a game-high 25 points to help Shore Regional cruise to a 58-36 nondivisional victory over winless Long Branch in the first of the five-game Boardwalk Hoop Group Showcase on Saturday.

Largey, who was named Shore's Most Valuable Player in the win, had 13 first-half points to stake Shore (6-2) to a 28-21 lead at the break, which the Blue Devils extended to 44-29 by the end of the third quarter. Largey entered the game averaging 22 points per game this season and now has scored 20-plus in seven of eight games for the Blue Devils. Senior Jack Byrne added 10 points in the win.

Freshman Tyree Morris was named the MVP for Long Branch (0-7) with 10 points in the loss.
