As Red Bank Catholic and Rumson get set to battle for multiple titles again, the rest of the Class A Central field has quietly closed the gap.

Charlie Jones matched Red Bank Catholic ace Shane Panzini and Brian Doherty delivered the winning hit as Rumson knocked off RBC in 10 innings.

Rumson had one of the youngest teams in the Shore Conference in 2019 and in 2021, the Bulldogs will reap the benefits with a talented, seasoned roster.
