Unique, Safety Hair Contraption Should Be Available At Every New Jersey Bar
The Jersey Shore is known to be the perfect scene for social butterflies.
SO many people travel down to the Garden State during the Summer months and you never know who you are going to meet.
But it also can be dangerous because SO many people travel down to the Garden State during the Summer months and you never know who you are going to meet.
This unique hair tool has a lot of potential to help.
During my appearance at Freehold Raceway Mall's Summer of Fun Concert Series, I met a woman involved with the Stephanie Nicole Parze Foundation.
She showed me a hair tie they invented to help ensure everyone makes it home safely after a night out.
It is called The Nightcap - The Drink Spiking Prevention Scrunchie.
It starts as a scrunchie that you put around your wrist.
However, once you get to the bar or restaurant of your choice, you will find there is more than meets the eye to this scrunchie.
Tucked inside is a drink cover that can simply be place over the top of your cup and it even has a small hole for a straw!
Once you are done with your drink, you take the cover off, stow it back inside the scrunchie and place it back on your wrist.
I've always been told to never leave my drink unattended which is a good rule to live by.
But sometimes, it is not enough.
It takes two seconds for someone to slip something in your drink while you are leaning over to ask your friend a question.
Plus, the more you drink, the less aware you are of your surroundings.
I look at this drink cover as an extra layer of security.
You will have the chance to purchase one if you so wish -- and I think you should for two major reasons.
The first is that it will help to keep you safe and sound. That's an important one.
The second is that buying one of these scrunchies supports an amazing cause.
It will all benefit the Stephanie Nicole Parze Foundation.
This is their mission according to their website:
"Our Mission is to provide education, intervention and support to families and individuals dealing with domestic violence, sexual abuse and missing loved ones."
These drink covers are $10.00 each and will be up for sale at the upcoming Stephanie Nicole Parze Foundation Vendor Fair happening at Freehold Raceway Mall on August 20th.
It will be held in the parking lot across from Dick's Sporting Goods from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM rain or shine.
I think this drink contraption should be made available at every Jersey Shore bar and restaurant up and down the coast. (And maybe even across the coast)
We are a HUGE partying destination and I am personally thinking of many more benefits than downsides if we could make this happen.
Everyone deserves to let their hair down and have some fun.
But everyone is also deserving to get home safe when the night is over.
Something to think about -- stay safe out there.
And for when you are trying to figure out which hotspot to visit next:
