Manalapan 1, Marlboro 0
Senior Aiden Solomon finished off a cross from classmate Jimmy Bruno and the Braves (3-1-1, 2-1-1) held on to knock off the Mustangs (3-2, 3-1) and give sophomore Mateo Paolillo the shutout.
CBA 2, Howell 1 (OT)
Sophomore Dylan Millevoi scored the golden goal in the fifth minute of overtime and the Colts (6-1, 4-0) survived an overtime battle with the Rebels (2-3, 1-3) in Howell. The winner came off a ball played to the middle by junior Will Thygeson and a touch from senior Jake Homowitz.
Sophomore Dimitry Corba took care of the first CBA goal, which put the Colts on top, 1-0, in the 17th minute.
Senior Rudy Braun pulled Howell even in the 46th minute, when he slammed in a corner kick from junior R.J. Eckelman.
Freehold Twp. 2, Long Branch 1
Junior Noah Jones headed in the game-winner in the 74th minute off a ball sent in by freshman Joshua Jerome and the Patriots (3-1, 3-1) pulled out a win over the Green Wave (4-3, 1-3).
Junior Tim Bertscha knocked in a cross from senior J.T. Gold to put Freehold Township on top in the first half.
Senior Brian Yocute scored off a Long Branch corner kick to tie the game within the final minute of the first half.
Middletown North 1, Middletown South 0
Sophomore Matt Silva scored a first-half goal off a feed from classmate Tommy Valinotti and the Lions (2-4, 1-2) held on to top the Eagles (0-5-1, 0-3-1) in the Middletown rivalry match under the lights.
Class A Central
Holmdel 2, Ocean 0
Senior Brendan Worobel scored a goal in each half to run his season total to eight and the Hornets (3-1, 2-1) blanked the Spartans (4-1, 1-1), dealing Ocean its first loss of the season.
Worobel lined up a flick from senior Dylan Calhoun off a Ben Sammut throw-in and drilled it in from the middle of the 18-yard box in the 38th minute.
In the seventh minute of the second half, Holmdel won a free kick near the endline on the left side and after a touch in from sophomore David Weiner, Worobel beat his man and finished inside the near left post.
Senior goalkeeper Tommy Chyzowych turned back four shots to earn the clean sheet.
Raritan 1, Shore 0
Junior Mike Pereira parked at the far post and headed in a cross from senior Matt Fogarty in the 55th minute and the Rockets (3-1, 2-1) made it hold up in a win over the Blue Devils (3-2-1, 1-2-1).
Class B North
Neptune 3, Red Bank 2
Junior Ernst Louisius scored two goals and the Scarlet Fliers (3-3, 2-2) rode a fast start to a win over the surging Bucs (2-3-1, 2-2-0). Senior Lee Petrowski scored the other Neptune goal.
Seniors Jacob Kirkpatrick and Thomas Keegan each scored a goal to draw Red Bank within one score.
Colts Neck 3, Freehold Boro 0
Senior Tom Samaras scored the opening goal and junior Jairo Chira scored and assisted one during a three-goal first half that propelled the Cougars (3-3, 3-1) to a win over the Colonials (0-4, 0-3).
Chira scored off a pass from freshman Kyle Moore and set up senior Christian Perrette for the third goal of the half. Junior Ryan Gershon assisted the first goal of the game by Samaras.
St. John Vianney 1, Matawan 1
St. John Vianney (1-4-1, 1-3-1) senior Johnny Troiano scored on a free kick three minutes into the match and junior Evan Arendt answered for Matawan (0-3-1, 0-2-1) in the 36th as the two rivals played to a draw.
Manasquan 2, Wall 2
Senior Mike Cafiero rifled two 20-plus yard strikes to the upper 90 to give Manasquan (3-1-2, 4-0-0) an early 2-0 lead but the Crimson Knights (4-1-1, 3-1-1) erased the advantage by halftime as the two rivals battled to a draw.
Senior Terence Byrnes drew Wall within a goal with a penalty kick and sophomore Nick Damiano finished off the equalizer for the Knights.
Class B South
Lakewood 4, Barnegat 3
Senior Alexander Granda rung up a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, and the Piners (2-2, 2-1) downed the Bengals (1-7, 0-4) on the road. Senior Fernando Osorio added the other goal and senior Eduardo Santillan assisted on two of the four Lakewood goals.
Senior Schuyler Jodice also posted a hat trick to nearly carry Barnegat to a come-from-behind win.
