Class A North

No. 1 CBA 4, No. 5 Manalapan 1

Senior Dylan Cupo notched a hat trick for the second straight game and the Colts (10-1, 6-0) pulled away with a win over the Braves (7-2-2, 4-2-1) to capture the outright Class A North division championship.

All three of Cupo's goals came in the second half, with the senior striker scoring off passes from senior Jack McGagh, sophomore Dimitri Corba and senior Jake Homowitz in minutes 48, 77 and 80.

CBA jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a one-timed volley by sophomore Dylan Millevoi in the 15th minute off a long pass into the box from sophomore Lawrence Mancino.

Manalapan cut CBA's lead to 2-1 in the 69th, when junior Anthony Sarkisov lined up a pass from senior Aditya Kasina and struck a shot to the left side of the goal from the top of the 18-yard box.

Howell 3, Middletown South 0

Junior R.J. Eckelman, senior Chris Osorio-Rodriguez and senior Ken Emerick each scored a goal and the Rebels (4-5, 2-5) climbed to within a game of the .500 mark by blanking the Eagles (2-7-1, 0-5-1).

No. 3 Freehold Twp. 2, No. 9 Marlboro 1 (OT)

Junior Tim Bertscha scored the golden goal in the 93rd minute off a feed from senior Herman Colbert and the Patriots (7-2, 5-1) pulled out a win over the Mustangs (5-4, 4-3) to clinch the Class A North public division championship.

Freshman Joshua Jerome got Freehold Township going with a first-half goal off a pass from senior Josh Hocheiser to give the Patriots a 1-0 advantage.

Senior Max Rosen scored the equalizer for Marlboro in the 30th, but missed most of the second half after he was issued a red card, forcing Marlboro to play a man down the rest of the way.

No. 10 Long Branch 3, Middletown North 2

Senior Eduardo Ribiero got the comeback started with a goal in the 45th minute and assisted the tying and game-winning goals later in the half as the Green Wave (8-5, 3-4) rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit to take out the Lions (4-7, 1-6).

After Ribiero scored to make it 2-1, he then found senior Carlos Dos Santos with a corner kick service for the tying goal in the 55th minute. In the 70th, Ribiero again got a shot for one of his teammates, with senior Edson Gomez taking a cross and finishing it for the go-ahead goal.

Middletown North got off to a 2-0 lead on goals by sophomore Tommy Valinotti and freshman Ryan Barnao.

 

Class A Central

No. 8 Ocean 4, Red Bank Catholic 1

Senior Aidan Tisony scored two more goals to up his season total to 14 and the Spartans (8-3, 3-3) rolled to a win over the Caseys (2-8, 0-5).

Senior Michael Reid added a goal and an assist while junior Stephen Aliaj scored the other goal for Ocean.

Shore 1, No. 6 Holmdel 0 (OT)

Junior Nick DiNapoli scored the golden goal during the second overtime period off a pass from junior Conner Katz and the Blue Devils (6-3-1, 2-3-1) pulled off the upset over the Hornets (5-3, 3-2).

No. 4 Rumson-Fair Haven 5, Raritan 0

Five different Rumson players scored a goal and senior goalkeeper Aiden Colburn recorded his 200th save in securing the shutout as the Bulldogs (7-1-2, 5-0-1) handled the Rockets (3-5, 2-4) to capture the program's first division title since 2015.

Sophomore Liam Barnett, senior Thomas French and junior Jack McBarron each scored their first varsity goals to highlight the effort. Junior Jacob Brown and freshman Ronan Hogg scored the other two for Rumson, which has won three straight since suffering its first loss and scored 13 goals in the process.

 

Class B North

Manasquan 4, Red Bank 1

Senior Gavin Guagenty and freshman Christian Gonzalez got Manasquan (5-4-3, 4-1-2) out to an early lead and two late goals by senior Mike Cafiero finished off a Warriors win over the Bucs (4-6-2, 2-4-1) to clinch a share of the Class B North championship with at least one other team.

Junior Matt Karolak assisted each of the first two goals, with Guagenty scoring the game's first goal in the 17th minute and Gonzalez extending the Manasquan lead in the 51st.

Mario Moza converted a penalty kick in the 58th minute to cut the Red Bank deficit in half before Cafiero buried two long strikes off assists from Gonzalez and sophomore Kevian Kraemer.

No. 7 Wall 4, Colts Neck 0

Senior Emmett Aravich and sophomore Nick Damiano each scored a goal and dished out an assists as the Crimson Knights (7-2-2, 4-1-2) erupted for four second-half goals en route to a win over the Cougars (3-6-1, 3-2-1).

The win clinches Wall a share of the Class B North championship along with Manasquan, with Neptune looking to clinch a share for itself with a win as well when the Scarlet Fliers take on Matawan on Wednesday.

Senior Ryan Molloy scored in the 49th minute off a feed from Damiano to stake Wall to a 1-0 lead and Aravich followed up with the second goal in the 57th off a pass from junior Chris Miller.

Senior goalkeeper Joe Gisoldi made four big saves to earn the shutout and the Crimson Knights gave him some breathing room with goals by senior Matt Murphy in the 71st and Damiano in the 73rd.

 

Class B South

Point Boro 3, Barnegat 0

Sophomore Chase Norling scored in the first half and senior Charles Latendorf and junior Jared Elliot each added a second-half goal to lead the Panthers (8-3, 5-2) past the Bengals (2-11, 1-6), snapping a three-game skid that followed a seven-game winning streak to open the season.
