Class A South

No. 8 Brick Memorial 70, Toms River East 40

Junior Josh Michigan scored a game-high 26 points and the Mustangs (10-4, 6-2) stampeded to a win over the Raiders (2-12, 1-7).

Senior Luke Braaten poured in 14 points and junior Brian Starrett added 12 for Brick Memorial.

Sophomore Steven Scorsone led Toms River East with 12 points and junior Manny Vargas added 10 in the loss.

 

Class C North

No. 5 Manasquan 73, Ocean 45

Freshman Darius Adams led four Manasquan players in double-figure scoring with 22 points and the Warriors (11-2, 7-0) pulled away from the Spartans (2-10, 2-5) in the second half.

Sophomore Alex Konov added 15 points, senior Matt Solomon chipped in 14 and sophomore Ryan Frauenheim contributed 11 points for Manasquan, which took a 10-point lead into the halftime locker room after Ocean stayed within 20-17 over the first eight minutes.

Freshman Zayier Dean led Ocean with 18 points and classmate Ron Richardson pitched in 10 points and three assists in the loss.

 

Non-Division

No. 7 Ranney 58, No. 10 Manchester 46

Junior Isaac Hester scored a game-high 23 points to go with six assists and the Panthers (9-2) led wire-to-wire in picking up a win over the Hawks (9-4).

Senior T.J. Braswell-Brown added 13 points and junior Zack Davis pitched in eight points and 12 rebounds for Ranney, which stormed out to a 32-14 lead by the midway point of the second quarter.

Senior Savon Myers led Manchester with 21 points, including the 1,000th of his career on a dunk in the third quarter.

Senior D'Maari Brown added 17 points in the loss, including five three-pointers.

Shore 54, Henry Hudson 22

Sophomore Alex George led a balanced scoring effort with 11 points and the Blue Devils (7-7) cruised to a win over the Admirals (2-10).

Junior Jax Ross also scored 11 points to lead Henry Hudson.

Southern 54, Lacey 38

Senior Nick Devane went off for a career-high 26 points to go with seven rebounds and three steals as the Rams (7-6) rumbled past the Lions (4-8).

Senior Jaden Anthony added 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists for Southern while Max DiPietro handed out five assists to go with his six points.

Junior Troy Buxton led Lacey with nine points.
