Class A Central

No. 6 Rumson-Fair Haven 73, Holmdel 49

Senior Cal Famula drilled six of Rumson's 13 three-pointers in the first half and finished with a game-high 24 points as the Bulldogs shot the lights out in a win over the Hornets.

To clarify, the power actually did go out in Holmdel's gymnasium, which prompted the game to be called prior to the full 32 minutes being completed.

Senior Scott Gyimesi added 10 points and 15 rebounds while senior Geoff Schroeder poured in 12 points including three of the three-pointers.

Freshman Evan Romano led Holmdel with 11 points and sophomore Ben Kipnis added 10 in the loss.

 

Class A South

Central 73, Toms River South 51

Senior Justin Soranno posted 29 points, 15 rebounds and five assists to lead the Golden Eagles to a win over the Indians.

Senior Anthony Musso added 16 points and four steals and sophomore Luke Krzyzkowski chipped nine points for Central.

Senior Gavin Migliori scored 15 points and sophomore Jordan Jones added 10 to lead Toms River South.

No. 9 Jackson Memorial 63, Toms River North 44

Junior Samir Padilla scored 21 points and the Jaguars rolled to their seventh straight win, this time by topping the Mariners behind a big second half.

Senior Steven Bado added 15 points, junior Keith Adame poured in 13 and the Jaguars got 14 big points from juniors Mehki Cherry (eight points) and Caleb Frage (six) off the bench.

Seniors Lamir Mitchell and Ryan Baker each scored 11 points to lead Toms River North, which trailed by just two, 29-27, at halftime before Jackson Memorial ran away with the win in the second half.

 

Class B North

Red Bank 42, Neptune 40

Senior Joe Caruso hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 12 seconds left and the Bucs battle their way past the Scarlet Fliers in dramatic fashion.

Caruso finished with 12 points, while fellow senior Brian Tobin led the way for Red Bank with 16.

Senior Oneil Campbell led Neptune with 12 points.

 

Class B Central

Keyport 67, Mater Dei Prep 47

Junior Max Judson went off for a career-high 22 points and the Red Raiders ran away with a win over the Seraphs to sweep the season series.

Senior D.J. Thomson added 18 points and classmate George Mitchell chipped in 14 for Keyport.

Senior Anthony Tancredi scored 16 points to lead Mater Dei while classmate Jayden Cabrera added 13.

 

Class B South

Donovan Catholic 64, Lakewood 42

Senior Jalin Butler led a balanced effort with 13 points and 10 rebounds to help the Griffins roll to a win over the Piners.

Senior Anthony Perrelli added 10 points, senior Alex Melon poured in nine and senior Dan Schwartz threw in eight for Donovan Catholic on Senior Night.

Junior Derrick Marsh led Lakewood with 16 points while Kiru Wallace contributed 11 in the loss.

No. 10 Manchester 52, Pinelands 36

Senior D'Maari Brown scored 17 points and classmate Amari Ayala-Petty pitched in 15 to help lead the Hawks to a win over the Wildcats.

Seniors Darren Barreau and Rian O'Rourke each scored 11 points to lead Pinelands.

Lacey 60, Barnegat 48

Junior Chris Venturoso scored 16 points and the Lions snapped a five-game skid by upending the Bengals.

Junior Troy Buxton added 13 points and junior Dylan Hall chipped in 10 points, five assists and three steals for Lacey.

Sophomore Jamari Smith led Barnegat with 11 points.

 

Class C North

St. Rose 55, Wall 46

Senior Jack Lang scored 15 points and the Purple Roses took down the Crimson Knights.

Seniors Luke Farrell and Nick DiNatale each added 12 points for St. Rose.

Senior Chris Mitchell led the Wall effort with a game-high 23 points and junior Matt Eisenberg chipped in 13 in the loss.

No. 5 Manasquan 56, Point Boro 26

Freshman Darius Adams scored 16 points while handing out three assists and the Warriors hammered the Panthers for a key divisional win in a matchup of the top two teams in the C North standings.

Sophomore Alex Konov added 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocks and sophomore Ryan Frauenheim chipped in nine points and four assists for Manasquan, while blew the game open with a 17-0 run that spanned the end of the second quarter and start of the third and put the Warriors ahead, 34-10.

Senior Kai Messeroll and junior Jake Venturoso each score six points to lead Point Boro.

Jackson Liberty 46, Monmouth 41

Senior Phanique Dupree scored 15 points and Dahkareo Pritchett hit three three-pointers on the way to 13 points as the Lions won a rubber match against the Falcons.

Senior Channing Williams chipped in 11 points for Jackson Liberty, while senior Kevin Telesford led Monmouth with 14 points.

 

Non-Division

Colts Neck 58, Long Branch 33

Junior Will Surdez scored 20 points and the Cougars coasted to a win over the Green Wave.

Junior Tyler Spencer added 16 points and sophomore Michael Belcher chipped in eight for Colts Neck.

Sophomore Devin Jones scored 16 points and junior Bruce Gooding poured in 11 to lead Long Branch.

Raritan 54, Brick 39

Junior Jack O'Leary scored 15 points and senior Tyzaya Smith added 14 to help the Rockets fire past the Green Dragons.

Junior Lucas LaVilla added 11 points for Raritan.

Junior Alex Jenkoski led Brick with nine points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
