Class A Central

Shore 44, Matawan 37

Sophomore Alex George scored 16 points to lead the Blue Devils (4-4, 1-2) to a road win over the Huskies (0-10, 0-4). Junior Liam Gajewski backed his sophomore teammate up with nine points for Shore.

No. 2 Red Bank Catholic 52, No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 34

Sophomore Zach Meeks scored 10 points and blocked three shots to help lead a balanced, two-way effort by the Caseys (10-1, 5-0) that wore down the visiting Bulldogs (4-2, 1-1) in a battle of Top-10 opponents.

Senior Cyril Arvanitis scored all eight of his points in the second half while senior Alex Bauman chipped in eight points, eight rebounds and four assists for Red Bank Catholic.

Senior Cal Famula led Rumson with a game-high 14 points.

 

Class A South

Brick Memorial 59, Toms River North 47

Senior Luke Braaten scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and the Mustangs (5-2, 3-0) put the Mariners (2-7, 0-3) away late to remain unbeaten in Class A South play.

Junior Josh Michigan added 15 points for Brick Memorial and classmate Dorian Alston added nine in the win.

Lamir Mitchell led Toms River North with 11 points and classmate A.J. Emnace added 10 in the loss.

Southern 47, Toms River South 27

Senior Jaden Anthony scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Rams (4-4, 3-2) to a comfortable win over the Indians (3-4, 1-2).

Senior Nick Devane also chipped in 12 points, five rebounds and three assists for Southern, which held Toms River South to eight points in the first half.

Senior Colin Raimann led Toms River South with eight points.

Central 62, Toms River East 44

Senior Justin Soranno posted 24 points, 12 rebounds and four assists to lead the Golden Eagles (7-2, 3-1) past the Raiders (2-7, 1-3) for their sixth straight win.

Sophomore Miles Chevalier added 16 points and three steals and senior Anthony Musso chipped in eight points and 10 rebounds for Central.

Senior Jayce Sefick led Toms River East with 14 points and junior Greg Mazzo added 12 in the loss.

 

Class B Central

No. 4 Ranney 73, Mater Dei Prep 58

Junior Isaac Hester scored a game-high 28 points and handed out eight assists to lead the Panthers (5-1, 3-0) to a win over the Seraphs (2-6, 2-2).

Junior Zack Davis added 14 points while senior T.J. Braswell-Brown pitched in 10 points, six rebounds and six assists for Ranney

Senior Anthony Tancredi led Mater Dei with 17 points and both senior Jayden Cabrera and sophomore Gavin Sansone added 10 points apiece in defeat.

 

Class B South

No. 8 Manchester 61, Barnegat 31

Senior Jordan Dupont scored a game-high 22 points and the Hawks (6-2, 3-0) coasted to a win over the Bengals (2-6, 1-1).

Senior Savon Myers chipped in 13 points and senior D'Maari Brown added 11 for Manchester.

Junior Shikeith Gordon led Barnegat with 12 points.

Donovan Catholic 53, Lacey 51

Junior Peter Farlekas scored the go-ahead layup with seven seconds left off a dish from senior Kyree Drake and the Griffins (5-3, 3-1) rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to upend the Lions (4-5, 1-2) on the road.

Farlekas finished with 10 points, while senior Jalin Butler led Donovan Catholic with 11 and senior Vin Coburn also pitched in eight in the win. Drake finished with eight points

Junior Chris Venturoso scored a game-high 26 points to lead Lacey.

Brick 49, Lakewood 35

Senior Rob Giovine scored 19 points to go with four assists and six steals as the Green Dragons (4-5, 1-3) took down the Piners (0-4, 0-2), who played their first game since Dec. 21.

Junior Alex Jenkoski also added 12 points and 11 rebounds for Brick while junior Stephen Novak chipped in nine points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in the win.

 

Class C North

Point Boro 46, Jackson Liberty 38

Senior Matt Lee scored a game-high 19 points and the Panthers (7-1, 3-1) outlasted the Lions (5-3, 0-3) on the road.

Junior Colton MacGlashan scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter to aide the cause for Point Boro.

Senior Dahkareo Pritchett led Jackson Liberty with 11 points and classmate Channing Williams chipped in 10 in the loss.

Monmouth 67, Wall 46

Seniors Aiden Denton and Gerald Wiggins each scored 17 points and junior Ta'haj Wiggins added 14 points, eight rebounds and seven blocks to lead the Falcons (5-3, 3-1) to a win over the Crimson Knights (0-7, 0-4). Denton hit five three-pointers to account for 15 of his points.

St. Rose 41, Ocean 38

 

Non-Division

Jackson Memorial 48, Manalapan 26

Junior Respect Tyleek scored 12 points and picked off six steals to help lead the Jaguars (4-4) to a resounding win over the Braves (3-6).

Junior Samir Padilla added 11 points and senior Steven Bado pitched in six points and 11 rebounds for Jackson Memorial.

Senior Mike Cerreto led Manalapan with 12 points.

 

Non-Conference

Irvington 54, Neptune 50

Junior Davionne Pearson scored 14 points but the Scarlet Fliers (1-5) came up short against the Blue Knights (4-3).
