No. 3 Marlboro 75, No. 4 St. John Vianney 66

Senior Jack Seidler scored 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds to snag MVP honors and help the Mustangs (14-2) battle past the Lancers (13-3).

Senior Jonathan Spatola added 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while seniors Zack Molod and Vin Spatola each added 11 for Marlboro, which grew its lead to 19 during the fourth quarter.

Senior Nate Williams led St. John Vianney with 25 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, with the Lancers ripping off a 17-1 run to cut its 19-point deficit to 69-66 with just over two minutes to go in the game.

Sophomore Dylan Seay scored 14 of his 17 points in the first half and junior Connor Howard scored all 14 of his points in the second half, with Howard hitting four three-pointers and scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter to help spark the comeback.

Holmdel 57, Central 53

Freshman Evan Romano scored a game-high 27 points to claim game MVP honors and the Hornets (8-6) held off the Golden Eagles (11-5).

Sophomore Nick Seeloch added 11 points and classmate James Vallillo pitched in 10 for Holmdel.

Senior Justin Soranno led Central with 25 points, while classmate Anthony Musso added nine and junior John Truhan eight in the loss.

No. 1 Red Bank Catholic 90, Rutgers Prep 79

Senior Cyril Arvanitis scored 13 of his team-high 19 points in the second half and classmate C.J. Ruoff had 11 of his 19 in the first to go with three assists as the Caseys (16-1) scored a season-high in points while handing the Argonauts (13-1) their first loss of the season.

Seniors Alex Bauman chipped in 17 points, 16 rebounds and three assists, with 11 of his points also coming in the first half. Sophomore Gioacchino Panzini chipped in nine points, 10 rebounds and five assists and classmate Tyler Burnham also scored nine while starting in place of injured sophomore starter Zach Meeks (ankle).

Juniors Jadin Collins and Cameron Piggee each scored 20 points to lead Rutgers Prep and Ranney transfer Ryan Zan added 18 in the win.

No. 2 CBA 67, Mater Dei Prep 55

Junior Joe White scored 16 points and all five CBA starters scored at least nine points in a Colts (13-3) win over the Seraphs (6-9).

Sophomore Peter Noble scored 14 points and freshman Justin Fuerbacher scored 13 points to give CBA a strong contribution from its underclassman duo. Junior Will Bradley, meanwhile, scored all 10 of his points in the first half and senior Pat Lautato pitched in nine for the Colts.

Senior Anthony Tancredi led Mater Dei with a game-high 28 points.
