Colonial Division

No. 10 Long Branch 41, Red Bank 20

Senior quarterback Earnest Reevey ran for two touchdowns and threw two touchdown passes, and senior running back Davon Craft ran for two touchdowns to send the Green Wave (7-5, 2-3) past the Bucs (3-7, 0-5) in the 100th Thanksgiving meeting between the longtime rivals.

Reevey scored on runs of 17 and 28 yards to give Long Branch a 14-0 lead before Red Bank got on the board via a 25-yard touchdown run by Jah'Cire Jones. Craft's 4-yard touchdown run made it 21-7 Long Branch before the teams traded touchdowns in the final minute of the first half. Red Bank quarterback Alex Choback ran for an 11-yard touchdown with 48 seconds left until halftime to trim Long Branch's lead to 21-14, but Reevey responded with a 21-yard touchdown pass to freshman Nyron Snerling on the final play of the half for a 28-14 lead.

Reevey tossed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Havier Gonzalez to extend Long Branch's lead to 35-14 early in the fourth quarter. A 3-yard touchdown run by Craft made it 41-14. Choback scored on a 1-yard run with 11 seconds left to account for the final scoring margin.

 

Nondivisional

No. 6 Middletown South 45, No. 14 Middletown North 21

Senior quarterback Jake Czwakiel ran for three touchdowns, threw a touchdown pass, and kicked a 45-yard field goal as the Eagles (5-5) scored 31 straight points to roll to a Thanksgiving victory over the host Lions (6-5).

Senior running back Donovan Summey ran for two touchdowns and senior running back Colin Gallagher caught a touchdown pass.

 

 

Wall 21, Manasquan 20 (OT)

Senior quarterback Andrew Olsen threw a touchdown pass to sophomore Justin Davis on the first possession of overtime and Wall's defense stopped a 2-point conversion attempt after Manasquan answered on its overtime possession to send the Crimson Knights (4-7) to a thrilling victory over the Warriors (5-5) in the annual Thanksgiving clash between the rival schools.

Manasquan struck first on a 1-yard touchdown run by senior quarterback Frank Furfaro early in the second quarter before Wall responded on a 14-yard touchdown reception by senior wide receiver Shea Brennan. A touchdown pass by Olsen put Wall up 14-7 late in the third quarter and Manasquan tied the score at 14 on a 13-yard touchdown run by Furfaro in the fourth quarter.

Manasquan drove deep into Wall territory late in regulation, but an interception in the end zone by Brennan halted the drive and sent the game to overtime.
