No. 4 Howell 2, No. 10 Middletown South 1 (OT)
Quinn Mills scored the golden goal in the fourth minute of overtime off a feed from Bryce Ocholla and the Rebels (2-1-1, 2-1-0) rallied to beat the Eagles (3-2, 1-2).
Tye Maser scored the tying goal in the 55th minute off a corner kick from Tyler Borenstein after Middletown South jumped in front on a goal by Dylan Sibilia in the final two minutes of the first half.
No. 8 Middletown North 2, No. 5 Manalapan 0
Josiah Stepney scored two goals in the second half and Landon Terrell earned the clean sheet with eight saves as the Lions (3-1, 2-0) topped the Braves (2-2, 1-2) for their third straight win. Cam DelGrosso and Tommy Valinotti chipped in the two assists for Middletown North.
No. 9 Marlboro 3, No. 14 Freehold Twp. 1
Ryan Cohen scored two goals and Trevor Barrett contributed a goal and an assist to spark the Mustangs (2-2-1, 1-2-0) to a win over the Patriots (2-3, 0-2).
Sebastian Polo scored off an assist from Alessandro Principato to account for the Freehold Township goal.
Class A Central
Wall 2, Red Bank 1 (OT)
Bo Pepe tied the game with a penalty kick in the 77th minute and assisted Jake Petillo's golden goal in the 15th minute of overtime as the Crimson Knights (3-3, 1-1) came back to beat the Bucs (2-4, 1-2).
Carlos Guerra scored off a pass from Gavin McTighe in the 39th minute to give Red Bank the lead. The Bucs have now held a lead in each of their first six games.
No. 15 Rumson-Fair Haven 7, Monmouth 0
Owen Saad and Charlie Butters each posted two goals and an assist to help the Bulldogs (3-1-1, 3-0-0) rout the Falcons (1-3, 0-2).
Zach Halpern added a goal and an assist, while Luke D'Angelo and Addison Bellicampi each scored a goal for Rumson.
Shore 5, Raritan 1
Cooper Attaway racked up a hat trick and assisted one of two goals by Maxx Eichenbaum as the Blue Devils (3-2, 2-1) coasted to a win over the Rockets (0-5, 0-3).
Eichenbaum also assisted one of Attaway's goals and Stephen Molnar assisted two goals as well.
Alan Warren scored the lone Raritan goal off an assist from Stefan Cojocariu.
Class A South
Brick Memorial 1, Jackson Liberty 1
The Mustangs (0-4-1, 0-2-1) and the Lions (2-1-1, 0-1-1) traded head-ball goals in the first 20 minutes of action and that was all either team could produce on the scoreboard.
Sophomore Landon Amalfa headed in a cross from classmate Elin Torres to give Brick Memorial a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute and Jackson Liberty answered with a header by Giovanni Batista off a corner kick by Rafael Cruz.
Toms River East 1, Jackson Memorial 0
Jackson Markovitch scored the game's lone goal off a set-up from Sean Peck and the Raiders (1-2-1, 1-2-0) upended the Jaguars (1-3-1, 1-2-0). Bobby Calvo earned the shutout in goal with five saves.
No. 11 Southern 3, No. 3 Toms River North 2
Sophomore Brody Nacarlo knocked in the game-winning goal in the 66th minute and the Rams (3-0-2, 2-0-1) handed the Mariners (4-1, 2-1) their first loss of the season.
The two teams played to a 2-2 tie in the first half and Nacarlo's goal proved to be the difference. Aidan Donnelly served a cross to the far left post, where Nick Prosperi won the ball in the air by heading it down to the top of the the six-year box. Narcarlo made the run from his outside back position and slammed a volley into the back of the net.
Prosperi scored the second Southern goal, which put the Rams ahead, 2-1, in the 23rd minute. Matt Hoosack served a corner kick to the far right post and Prosperi headed a shot off the right post and in.
Toms River North jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a rebound finish by Anthony Ruggiero off an initial shot by Kosta Papanikolas in the seventh minute. Southern answered right back 1:10 later on a strike by Kaan Zenger on a loose ball in the 18-yard box.
After the Rams grabbed the lead, Toms River North leveled the scored before halftime on a rip from Luke Montanile off a corner kick by Turkan Curak.
Ryan Schweigert made 11 saves in goal to keep Southern in the game and shut out Toms River North in the second half.
No. 13 Central 4, Toms River South 1
Dave Kroon scored two goals and the Golden Eagles (5-0, 3-0) rolled through the Indians (1-1-1, 0-1-1) to continue their perfect start to the 2023 season.
Keith Swistock opened the scoring for Central with a goal in the 45th minute off a pass from Danny Palheta. Landon Kavanaugh extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 57th off a feed from Dillon Konfederak before Kroon scored consecutive goals to make it 4-0.
Toms River South got on the board in the 70th minute on an own goal that Kenny Caruso initiated with a cross into the box.
Class B North
No. 16 Long Branch 4, Freehold Boro 2
Nick Borges Da Silva scored the first two Long Branch goals and assisted the third by Johan Gomez to lead the Green Wave (3-2-1, 1-1-0) to a win over the Colonials (1-3, 0-2).
Gomez also assisted the first goal by Borges Da Silva, who scored his second on a penalty kick. Wyatt Vicente capped the Long Branch scoring off a pass from Nick Ribiero.
Ammar Danish scored both goals for Freehold Boro.
Matawan 6, Neptune 1
Eric Friedman posted a hat trick and Sal Cassano backed him up with two goals of his own to power the Huskies (3-1, 2-0) to a one-sided win over the Scarlet Fliers (0-4, 0-2).
Nico Skeete also pitched in with a goal and an assist for Matawan.
No. 7 Manasquan 4, No. 12 Ocean 0
Sophomore Cruz Farkas scored a goal in each half and assisted the capper by Shayne Byrne in the 57th minute to spark the Warriors (4-0, 2-0) to a shutout win over the Spartans (2-2-1, 1-2-0) and continue their perfect start to the season.
Luke Roy assisted Farkas's first goal and headed in Manasquan's second goal off a flicked header by Griffin Linstra in the 22nd minute. Cristian Gonzalez served up the corner kick that led to Roy's goal and found Farkas with a long through-ball to set up Manasquan's third goal in the 41st minute.
Class B Central
Henry Hudson 6, Red Bank Catholic 0
Dylan Gonzalez scored three of his four goals in the second half and the Admirals (1-4, 1-2) coasted to a win over the Caseys (0-4, 0-2).
Tyler Studer opened the scoring in the fourth minute and Hayden Kurdes capped it in the 77th. Jack Carlstrom assisted two goals and Gonzalez also added an assist.
St. John Vianney 2, Ranney 1
Kyle DiMarco finished a through-ball from center back Isaiah Boone for the tiebreaking goal in the 65th minute and the Lancers (4-0, 3-0) rallied to beat the Panthers (1-4, 1-2).
St. John Vianney's other center back, Luke Noble, tied the game in the 50th by taking a pass from Mason Boles, dribbling through the defense and finished off a clean look.
Ranney jumped on top 15 minutes into the match on a goal by Saeed Torres off a pass from Dev Nayar.
St. Rose 4, Asbury Park 1
Diego Nieves scored a goal and assisted two others as the Purple Roses (4-1-1, 3-0) outscored the Blue Bishops (0-4, 0-2), 3-0, in the second half to claim the victory.
Isaiah Taylor, Gavin Fahy and Jack Tiernan each scored in the second half to help St. Rose pull away.
Point Beach 7, Keyport 1
Dylan Ryan and Brody Powers each recorded a hat trick and dished out an assist to carry the Garnet Gulls (4-2, 3-0) to a win over the Red Raiders (0-5, 0-3).
Landon Schultz also scored a goal, while by Cody Monticello and Bennett Meyer each picked up two assists.
Brayan Rodriguez scored a goal to give Keyport an early 1-0 lead before both Ryan and Powers scored prior to halftime to give Point Beach the lead for good.
Class B South
Lakewood 2, Point Boro 2
Jaheim Kennedy scored and equalizer in the first half and assisted one by Eric Vargas in the second half to help the Piners (0-2-1, 0-1-1) bounce back from two different deficits and earn a draw against the Panthers (3-1-1, 2-0-1).
Owen Clearwaters scored both Point Boro goals, first first of which came off a pass from freshman Braeden Moramarco in the 25th minute.
Kennedy tied the game off a pass from Javaughn Johnson in the 38th minute and Clearwaters gave Point Boro the lead back in the 50th with a goal off a pass from Matt Decker.
Vargas later equalized with his goal in the 61st minute.
Manchester 2, Barnegat 0
Joey Kurak scored two goals in a five-minute span late in the second half to run his season total to 10 goals while also carrying the Hawks (4-2, 3-0) to a win over the Bengals (2-3, 1-2).
Kurak's brother, Brayden Kurak, assisted both goals -- one in the 67th minute to break the ice and another in the 72nd to provide some insurance.
Lacey 3, Pinelands 0
Mateo Pasqualichio scored his eighth goal of the season and also assisted goals by Connor Noon and Aidan Schmitt as the Lions (3-3, 2-1) rolled to a win over the Wildcats (3-3, 1-2). Schmitt also added an assist for Lacey.

Freshman Sean Moore scored for the second straight game, but the Cougars (2-1) could not come up with the equalizer after trailing at halftime in a loss to the Spartans (4-0).
