Tyler Borenstein bent in a corner kick for the tiebreaking goal two minutes into the second half and Nick Turturro added an insurance goal midway through the half as the Rebels (4-1-1) topped the Golden Eagles -- handing Central (5-1-1) its first loss while also picking up their first win in SCT group play.

Tye Maser opened the scoring for Howell in the 18th minute off a pass from Marcelo Romano. John Fiorillo set up the goal by Turturro that capped the scoring in the 62nd minute.

Matt Golizio scored the equalizer for Central, which made it to halftime even with the host Rebels.
