Class A South

Southern 4, Brick 0

Senior Aidan Antonio and sophomore Brody Reynolds each scored a goal and dished out an assist as the Rams (4-3, 2-2) handled the Green Dragons (1-7, 0-4) for their fourth straight win. Sophomore Nick Prosperi and junior David Boyd took care of the other two Southern goals.

Central 6, Brick Memorial 2

Senior John Truhan put up a hat trick and the Golden Eagles (4-3, 2-3) rolled to a win over the Mustangs (1-3-3, 1-1-2). Truhan's first two goals came in the first half and sophomore Dillon Konferderak added a third for Central to send the Golden Eagles to the intermission with a 3-0 lead.

Senior Ryan DiCillo and sophomore Jordan Benzon each added a goal in the second half and sophomore Blake Crutchley and junior Keith Swistock each dished out two assists.

Senior Zander Pitts and junior Michael Heptig scored the Brick Memorial goals.

Toms River North 1, Toms River East 0 (OT)

Senior Ray Keller connected on a 25-yard direct kick in the 97th minute and the Mariners (5-0-1, 4-0-1) defeated the Raiders (2-3-2, 2-1-1) to take over sole possession of first place in Class A South and remain unbeaten overall.

 

Class B Central

St. Rose 5, Point Beach 0

Junior Diego Nieves scored the first of four St. Rose goals in the first half and added another in the second to pace the Purple Roses (5-2-1, 4-0-0) to a win over the Garnet Gulls (3-5, 3-2), clinching them the outright Class B Central championship.

Junior Jack Tiernan scored one minute after Nieves to push the lead to 2-0 in the 25th minute off a cross from senior Packy O'Hearn, who scored the third goal off a through ball from Andrew Restiano in the 35th. Matt Cheney tacked on a goal before halftime, scoring in the 39th minute.

 

 

Class B South

Lakewood 0, Pinelands 0

Lacey 2, Barnegat 0

Junior Matteo Pasqualichio scored two goals in the first half and the Lions (3-3-1, 3-2-0) turned away the Bengals (3-4, 1-3). Pasqualichio opened the scoring in the seventh minute off a pass from sophomore Danny Cardenas and extended the lead with another goal in the 28th.

No. 5 Point Boro 6, Donovan Catholic 0

Junior John Witkowski scored and assisted a goal in Point Boro's four-goal first half and senior Alex Baginski added a pair of goals in the second to help the Panthers (6-1-1, 4-0-1) run away with a win over the Griffins (2-5, 1-4).

Juniors Owen Clearwaters and Gavin Petrosky scored within two minutes of one another to give Point Boro a 2-0 lead by the fourth minute. Junior Ben Fritz then scored off a feed from Witkowski in the 11th minute and Witkowski made it 4-0 in the 19th off a set-up by senior Brett Leschinski.

Senior Jared Elliott assisted both goals by Baginski, which both came in the first three minutes of the second half. Senior Max Dyba added an assisted for Point Boro and junior goalkeeper Andrew Holper picked up the shutout without having to record a save.
