Junior Cam D'Alterio scored the golden goal off a set-up from classmate Lawrence Mancino in the 86th minute and the Colts (8-1, 4-1) pulled out an overtime win over the Braves (4-4-1, 1-4-1) for their eighth straight win.
No. 2 Freehold Twp. 2, No. 4 Marlboro 1
Senior Kevin Kuriakose forced an own goal in the 50th minute and classmate Tim Bertscha poked in an insurance goal in the 75th to help guide the Patriots (7-1, 4-1) past the Mustangs (3-3-1, 3-3-0) for their third straight win.
Junior Jake Cagnina bent in a corner kick in the 79th minute to give Marlboro a fighting chance in the final minute, but Freehold Township did not allow a potential game-tying shot.
Class A South
Toms River North 4, Brick 0
Christian Caso scored two goals and the Mariners (6-0-1, 5-0-1) blanked the Green Dragons (1-8, 0-6).
Anthony Ruggiero scored the first Toms River North goal and Jake Bennert capped the scoring for the Mariners.
Central 1, Jackson Memorial 0
Junior Keith Swistock scored the golden goal in the 97th minute off a pass from senior John Truhan and the Golden Eagles (5-3, 3-3) prevailed in an overtime battle against the Jaguars (4-5-1, 2-3-0).
Southern 1, Brick Memorial 0
Sophomore Nick Prosperi scored the game's lone goal in the 27th minute and the Rams (5-3, 3-2) edged the Mustangs (1-4-3, 1-2-2), with senior Nate Bott recorded the shutout with three saves.
Class B Central
Asbury Park 3, Henry Hudson 1
Dain Salazar scored a goal in each half after Joel Guzman opened the scoring and the Blue Bishops (2-4) topped the Admirals (0-4-2).
Dylan Gonzalez scored for Henry Hudson, which cut the Asbury Park lead to 2-1 in the second half.
Class B South
Lacey 2, Lakewood 1
Junior Matteo Passqualichio assisted goals by seniors Logan Gross and Tyler Hyle and the Lions (4-3-1, 4-2-0) held on to pick up a win over the Piners (3-3-1, 2-3-1).
Gross staked Lacey to a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute and Hyle tacked on a second Lions goal in the 58th. Ashwin Santiago got Lakewood on the board with a goal in the 73rd minute.
No. 5 Point Boro 7, Barnegat 0
Junior John Witkowski posted his second hat trick of the season and assisted one of two goals by classmate Owen Clearwaters as the Panthers (7-1-1, 5-0-1) handled the Bengals (3-5, 1-4).
Clearwaters also assisted the first goal by Witkowski, which extended Point Boro's lead to 3-0. Clearwaters converted a penalty kick to make it 2-0 and capped the first-half scoring in the 35th.
Senior Alex Corso opened the scoring with a goal in the ninth minute and junior John Ward finished it off in the 65th off a feed from senior Max Dyba.
Jackson Liberty 4, Donovan Catholic 1
Seniors Jim Cappucci and Gerard Cerino each scored a goal and assisted another to lead the Lions (6-1-2, 4-0-1) to a win over the Griffins (3-6, 1-5) and keep pace with Point Boro in Class B South title race.
Cappucci opened the scoring in the seventh minute on a penalty kick and Cerino followed in the 12th minute with a goal off a pass from junior Giovanni Batista.
Senior Connor Yurgel added Jackson Liberty's third goal in the 16th minute off a feed from Cerino and Josh Hybbeneth capped the scoring in the 61st off Cappucci's assist.
Junior Luke Stripolli scored Donovan Catholic's lone goal on a deflected shot in the 54th minute.
Manchester 1, Pinelands 0
Senior Muberaq Aderogba scored the game-winner in the second half off a pass from junior Joey Kurak and the Hawks (7-2, 2-2) held on for a road win over the Wildcats (3-5, 1-4). Sophomore Noah Cundiff saved seven shots to record the shutout.
