In an homage to a National Hockey League tradition dating back to the 1936-1937 season, Shore Sports Network will be selecting three standouts from each day of Shore Conference ice hockey. The Three Stars of the Day will be posted each morning for the previous day's games.

First Star

Ryan Bechutsky, Sr., Fwd., Manalapan

Bechutsky had a hand in all four of Manalapan's goals during a 4-2 victory over Monroe by recording a hat trick and adding an assist. He scored in each of the first two periods to give the Braves a 2-0 lead and completed his hat trick with 6:51 to play. It was the third hat trick of Bechutsky's career. He had two last season, including a career-high four goals in a win over Toms River North. Bechutsky leads Manalapan with five goals and nine points.

Second Stars

David Deconde and Ryan Fortunato, So., Fwds, Toms River East/South

Both Deconde and Fortunato lit the lamp twice during the Raiders' 9-6 victory over Lacey. Fortunato scored the first goal of the game and scored again in the second period. Deconde's goal at 6:58 gave Toms River East a 2-1 lead and his goal with 10 seconds left in the second period put the Raiders up 8-3 heading to the third period. Deconde's tallies were his first of the season while Fortunato now has four goals and two assists on the year.

Third Star

Jason Andreyev, Jr., D, CBA

The top-ranked Colts put forth another balanced scoring effort in a 5-1 victory over No. 6 Middletown North with five different goal scorers. Andreyev had a hand in three of the five goals with three assists, including the primary helper on goals by Zach Wagnon and Pete Vallebuona.
