Once again the Shore Sports Network is proud to partner with the Shore Conference of High Schools and honor the senior student-athletes chosen as the 2021 Sportsmanship Awards recipients.  Each school in the Shore Conference has selected a male and female who best represents the ideals of leadership, integrity, respect for others and overall sportsmanship.

Due to restrictions that were in place throughout much of the year there will not be an awards event like in the past but the 94 honorees will be saluted in 68-page print journal which will be distributed through the schools and most Jersey Mike’s Subs locations in Monmouth and Ocean County.

Special thanks to OceanFirst Bank who is the Shore Sports Network’s presenting sponsor of the awards program.  George Destafney, President of the Central Region said “OceanFirst Bank is proud to sponsor the 94 student athletes who’ve been identified as those who best represent sportsmanship in their respective sports.  Your character, on and off the field, is commendable.  We’re grateful for the example you’ve set, not only for your teammates, but for all of us in the community.”

Athletic Directors from the 48 schools that make up the Shore Conference have placed a priority on good sportsmanship and this annual salute is one they take great pride in.  Much consideration goes into selecting those being singled out to represent all of their fellow senior student-athletes with this very special honor.

The Shore Sports Network journal paying tribute to the sportsmanship awards winners will be available the week of June 14 both in print and on shoresportsnetwork.com.
