When St. John Vianney head football coach Mike Alberque decided to step down in February to spend more time in his position as athletic director he did not have to turn far to find a replacement.  On the same day it was announced that he was giving up the position after just two seasons Vianney introduced defensive coordinator JEFF PAPCUN as their new head coach.  Papcun ran the defense last season and the offense the year before.  He has also been an assistant at Keansburg, Colts Neck, Red Bank Catholic in addition to starting his career at his alma mater Raritan. A team captain on the Raritan team that went 12-0 in 2004 and won a state sectional title, Papcun later went on to play at Montclair State.  He takes over a Lancers program that was 4-7 last season but went 41-4 from 2014 to 2017.

Note-There are some technical issues with Coach Papcun's video during the later part of the interview but we did re-connect and finished so please keep watching.
