3-Red Bank 75, 6-Toms River East 49

The Bucs (3-0) thrived off the exceptional balance of their halfcourt offense, under the direction of junior guard Caitlyn Decker, and a ceaseless man-to-man defense that stirred a rash of turnovers.

Junior guard Chloe Teter topped Red Bank with 15 point and junior backcourt mate Amelia Medolla netted 14. Senior guard Taylor Crystian and junior wing Emma Moriarty totaled 13 apiece and Decker backed nine points with 10 assists.

Red Bank owned a 35-27 lead at the break and opened the third by scoring the first 11 points, part of a 15-2 blitz, that expanded the margin to 50-29. Teter and Moriarty contributed five points each to the game-changing surge, one that coincided with the Bucs' defense inducing five turnovers during the uprising.

Senior guard Jordyn Madigan topped Toms River East (1-2) with 17 points and sophomore guard Lizzie Gillen scored 11.

2-Marlboro 64, 10-Toms River North 51

Sophomore Dani Schlesinger and junior Jessica Riepe scored five points apiece duringa 19-4 outburst in the third quarter that pushed the Mustangs (3-0) to a 48-33 lead. Riepe fired in four 3-pointers and ended the afternoon with a game-high 18 points.

Junior guard Sammy Jay added 11 points for Marlboro and Schlesinger had 10. Sophomore guard Faith Wavershak topped Toms River North (2-1) with 12 points, sophomore wing Sydney Howell netted 11 and senior swing Kristina Johnson scored 10.

4-Manasquan 51, 5-Middletown South 36

Holding to a 29-25 lead at the half, Manasquan (3-0) turned up its defensive intensity, spread the offensive wealth and put distance on Middletown South (2-1). Junior guard Maci Black made the most out of two steals in the third quarter, feeding one to sophomore guard Brooke Hollawell (15 points) for a layup out of transition and taking the other the distance herself as part 15-3 blitz that created a 41-28 gap.

Sophomore forward Dorothy Loffredo picked up eight points, five assists and four rebounds and sophomore swing Georgia Heine contributed nine points, five boards, three steals and a pair of assists.

Senior guard Stephanie Mayerhofer buried four 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 16 points and senior swing Kayla Richardson scored 11 for Middletown South.

1-Manchester 69, 9-Colts Neck 45

Sophomore Amyah Bray pumped in 19 points, including a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter and 17 before the break to pilot the Hawks (3-0) to a 40-24 edge. Junior forward Destiny Adams accounted for 22 points that featured 10 in the first half and 14 rebounds while freshman guard Gabriella Ross totaled 11 points.

Camryn Foltz led Colts Neck (2-1) with 21 points and Jess Thesing added 11.

Howell 55, Manalapan 45

Mackenzie Greene dropped in 13 points and Grace Leary and Cassie Conte netted 12 apiece to go with four steals each for Howell (1-1). The Rebels built a 35-27 halftime lead and closed with a 12-6 effort in the fourth.

Lauryn Thomas pumped in 16 points for Manalapan (1-2).

Sayreville 42, Matawan 40

Giana Aiello backed 10 points with 14 reboudns and Skylar Parris hit three triples on her way to 17 points for Matawan (1-2)

Freehold Township 55, Lacey 44

Hannah Orloff complemented 23 points with 10 rebounds, Kaylie Elsbree netted 12 and Tanya Elsbree had nine points and three assists to drive Freehold Twp. (2-0).

Shore 54, Colonia 24

Madison LaRosa counted three 3-pointers among her game-high 17 points for the host Blue Devils (2-1). Shore set an early tone, racing to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter.

Sam Carew and Rylee Drahos chipped in with nine points apiece in the win.

at Paul VI, Haddonfield

Paul VI 89, Jackson Memorial 47

Senior Kristna Donza poured in a game-high 29 points in a losing cause for Jackson Memorial (2-1). Rachel Capua had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Jags, who suffered the consequences of a 52-23 outburst by Paul VI (4-0) in the second half.

at Wilmington, Del.

Long Island Lutheran 61, Red Bank 51

Fab Eggenschwiler dropped in 17 and Ally Carman scored 13 for Red Bank Catholic (2-1), which fell victim to an 18-9 burst by Long Island Lutheran in the second quarter that staked the Crusaders to a 34-26 lead.

Toni Panayides finished with nine points and Justine Pissot eight for RBC.

St. John Vianney 74, Staten Island Academy 45

Sophomore guard Madison St. Rose struck for 17 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and five assists while junior guard Katie Hill offered 14 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists to spark the Lady Lancers (2-0), who built a 23-9 cushion in the opening quarter.

Rumson-Fair Haven 46, Gill St. Bernard’s 37

Rumson-Fair Haven (2-0) outscored Gill St. Bernard's (2-1) 33-25 over the final three quarters to secure the outcome in its favor. Point guard Paige Slaven went for 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists to pace the Bulldogs.

Julia Corsentino collected seven points, eight rebounds and three steals while Lucy Adams grabbed eight boards, made five steals and scored four for the Bulldogs.

Holmdel 56, West Orange 55 (OT)

With Holmdel (1-1) trailing by two in overtime, Leah Nolan drew a foul on a 3-point attempt with one second remaining and hit all three subsequent free throws to lift the Hornets to a dramatic victory.

Brick 49, Jackson Liberty 46 (OT)

Sonja Anderson put away 13 points while Emma Carpino and Erika Cameron scored 12 apiece to lift the Green Dragons to the overtime victory.

Maura Carney countered with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and five steals to Jackson Liberty (0-2) and Jessica Cannestro dropped in 12 points.

Barnegat vs. Plainfield, 10

Point Pleasant Beach 36, Pinelands 30

Allison House flipped in a team-high 10 points and Hannah Hensler contributed nine to lift Point Beach (2-0), which parlayed a 10-2 effort in the third into a 26-21 advantage.

Bridget Dudas scored a game-high 12 for Pinelands (0-2).

Long Branch 70, Lakewood 11

Jada Rogers led three players in double figures for Long Branch (2-0) with 19 points to complement seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Anyssa Fields clicked for 16 points, five boards, four steals and three assists and Madison Grayson scored 12, clearend six boards, had five steals and blocked four shots for the Green Wave, which raced to a 26-0 lead.

South River Tournament
at South River

Keansburg 33, South Amboy 19

Mackenzie Smith delivered 10 points and Aaliyah Coleman grabbed 15 boards to accompany six points for Keansburg (1-1). The Titans used a 14-2 showing in the second quarter to open a 21-4 gap.

Scarlet Oliva hit a pair of threes and ended with eight points and Abigail Boccio retrieved eight rebounds for Keansburg.

Raritan 33, New Egypt 23

Lucy Alberici clicked for 11 points, Meg Casey netted nine and Joei Tarrazi scored eight for Raritan (1-1), which used a 19-11 performance in the second half to seal the triumph.
