Hannah Orloff, Freehold Twp. (So. C 6-2)

Orloff has been an absolute force in the paint for the Patriots (6-2), who have won three straight. She has recorded a double-double in all eight games. She had 21 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks on Friday in a 49-46 overtime win against Manalapan and supplied 10 points and dozen boards Saturday as Township downed Southern, 32-28.

The Eagles christened the New Year with a pair of victories to run their win streak to three and Richardson was instrumental in both. She had 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks during a 59-21 decision against Matawan and collected 10 points, three boards, two assists and a steal as South topped Freehold, 55-16.

The Harvard-bound Mullaney (21.6 ppg.), who has been a consistent scoring machine for the Warriors (7-1) all season, took it to another level on Sunday. After flipping in 21 in a 60-23 victory against Monmouth, Mullaney converted 17 free throws on her way to a career-high 35 points on Sunday to fuel a 49-43 triumph over Archbishop Wood (Pa.) on Sunday at the Blue Star Elite Invitational.

Perhaps her greatest contribution to the Purple Roses is the almost sub-conscious way she slips them into their desire gear with her effortless pacesetting that’s crucial to an offense scoring at a 57.8 rate. Antognoli epitomizes the value of being well-rounded. She cleared five boards, handed out four assists, made two steals and chipped in with five points as No. St. Rose rolled past No. 10 Rumson-Fair Haven, 58-24.

Lister had a significant hand in the most impressive showing thus far for the Raiders. Her 15 points, 10 boards, four steals and three assists were a driving force behind a 59-50 upset of Jackson Memorial on Thursday.

Angel Hernandez, Brick Memorial (Sr. G 5-7)

The Mustangs snapped an eight-game losing streak dating back to the end of last season with Hernandez playing a pivotal part in its conclusion. She sank two free throws with three seconds left in regulation and finished with nine points, seven boards, four assists, three steals and two blocks in an active effort that resulted in a 39-37 triumph over Freehold on Saturday.

Sam Del Rio, Southern (Jr. G)

The junior exhibited her invaluable versatility for the Rams. She netted 12, doled out five assists and came up with three steals to key a 52-46 triumph over Central and clicked for 16 points, six rebounds, three steals and an assist in a 32-28 loss to Freehold Twp.

A shrewd ball mover in the halfcourt, Gibson proved she also has a shooter’s touch. She pumped in a season-high 20 points on Friday in a 61-32 victory against Middletown North and accounted for 11 points on Saturday when the Cougars took down Red Bank, 43-27.

Her slicing cuts to the rim, coupled with her activity on the glass are two of the many reasons the youthful Scarlet Fliers sit at 5-2. Bracket (14.8 ppg., 11.5 rpg.) pumped in 23 points, seized 14 rebounds and added two assists, two blocks as well as six steals in a 68-44 road win against Wall.

Morgan Bartlett, Ocean (Sr. F)

The Spartans (5-4) are red-hot, winners of four straight and Bartlett has been a driving force, averaging 16.7 points during the tear. She had nine points, six boards, two assists and two steals as Ocean avenged an earlier loss with a 35-29 win against Jackson Liberty and matched her season-high with 24 points to go with eight rebounds as Ocean downed Matawan, 46-32.

Carleigh Burns, Point Beach (Sr. G)

Burns has scorched defenses over the first three weeks to the tune of 15.7 points per game. The sizzling Garnet Gulls picked up a pair of wins last week keyed by Burns. She nailed three 3-pointers and accounted for 18 points in a 50-41 decision against Barnegat and matched her season-high with 22 as the Beach clipped Asbury Park, 58-27.

Shelby Barksdale, Mater Dei (Fr. F)

Barksdale packs plenty of bite, as was evident on Thursday when her 14 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal helped propel the Seraphs past previously-unbeaten Keyport, 54-47.

Colleen Cusat, Trinity Hall (Sr. G 5-6)

Her season-best 20 points, complemented by four assists, four steals and a blocked shot, led the Monarchs to a decisive 74-44 triumph against Wall.

The Griffins are gaining momentum off the crest of a four-game win streak and Slaven has been deeply involved. She dropped in 15 points in a 63-20 showing against Lakewood and was responsible for 13 on Sunday as Donovan Catholic edged Lodi Immaculate, 38-34.

Wild Cards

Kya Joseph, Barnegat (Fr. G/F 5-7)

The Bengals dropped close encounters with Point Beach and Lacey despite the work of Joseph. The multi-tasking swing had 10 points and eight boards in a 50-41 loss to the Beach and posted a big-time double-double that featured 25 points and 15 rebounds as Barnegat bowed to Lacey, 67-60.

Hailey McGee, Jackson Liberty (Sr. G)

The Lions rebounded from a 35-29 loss to Ocean by upending Pinelands and Central. McGee sank a season-high 23 in the win over Pinelands and scored 14 to fuel a triumph over Central.

Destiny Adams, Manchester (So. G 6-3)

Manchester pursued an ambitious weekend schedule that saw it fall to defending Non-Public B state champion Saddle River Day and national power Bishop McNamara (Md.) despite the strong play of Adams. She backed 19 points and 12 rebounds on Friday with 19 points, seven boards and three blocks.

Hailey Ocskasy, Lacey (Sr. G 5-6)

Her stroke from beyond the arc yielded four 3-pointers and the foundation for a 19-point performance as the Lions squeezed past Barnegat, 67-60.
