Class A South

Toms River East 5, Brick Memorial 1

Lorenzo Scala and Tyler Nichols scored two goals apiece and Josh Sommerer added four assists as the Raiders (4-3-2, 4-3-2) stormed past the Mustangs (5-7, 4-6) after falling into an early 1-0 hole. Jon Meola also scored a goal and Scala added an assist for Toms River East.

Bryan Malerba opened the scoring in the 14th minute to give Brick Memorial a 1-0 lea but a goal by Scala and two by Nichols gave Toms River East a 3-1 lead by halftime.

No. 10 Lacey 2, Toms River South 0

Eric Reitmeyer scored off a throw-in from Robert Biele in the 20th minute and Dale Russell added a score in the 66th to lead the Lions (6-2-2, 5-2-2) to a win over the Indians (5-4-1, 5-4-0) to keep pace with Toms River North and Jackson Memorial in the Class A South race.

Southern 2, Brick 0

Chris Starner scored to give Southern the lead in the 29th minute and Gavin Dougherty tacked on a goal in the 79th to pace the Rams (5-6-2, 2-4-2) to a win over the Green Dragons (0-8-2, 0-7-2).

No. 3 Toms River North 3, Jackson Memorial 0

Sean Moore broke through with a goal in the 47th minute off a Nick Sica assist and the Mariners (5-2-3, 5-1-3) went on to beat the Jaguars (8-4-1, 5-3-1) to remain in first place in Class A South. Lee Scheck added his second goal in as many nights in the 51st minute and Toms River North capped the scoring with an own goal in the 71st.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 4, Mater Dei Prep 2

Alex Ciorlian and Charlie Turro scored second-half goals to cap a come-from-behind win for the Garnet Gulls (7-3-0, 6-2-0) after the Seraphs (2-10-0, 2-6-0) took a 2-0 lead in the 26th minute. Corey Gross and Connour Coulter each scored in the last six minute of the first half to pull Point Beach even by halftime.

Matheus Giaculi converted a penalty kick in the 12th minute and Danny Poracky scored in the 26th to give Mater Dei Prep an early 2-0 lead.

Class B South

Jackson Liberty 1, Barnegat 0

Adam Haidi scored in the first minute of overtime and the Lions (5-4-0, 5-4-0) topped the Bengals (4-6-1, 3-5-1) in a tight Class B South match.

Central 4, Pinelands 0

Senior Kyle Kaiser erupted for four goals and the Golden Eagles blanked the Wildcats (2-10-0, 1-8-0) for their seventh straight win.

Monsignor Donovan 4, Point Boro 0

The Griffins (7-2-0, 7-2-0) scored four second-half goals - two on penalty kicks - to roll to a shutout win over the Panthers (9-3-0, 8-1-0), who suffered their first division loss in Class B South.

Manchester 2, Lakewood 0
