Howell 2, No. 2 Manalapan 1

Junior Leroy Anderson scored two goals in the first half and the Rebels (4-5-2, 4-5-2) knocked off the Braves (9-2-1, 8-2-1) to improve their chances of making the Shore Conference Tournament. Matt Dezenhaus scored in the 66th minute for Manalapan.

 

Class A South

Toms River East 4, No. 10 Lacey 1

Lorenzo Scala, Tyler Nichols, Anthony Batelli and Josh Sommerer each scored a goal and the Raiders (5-4-2, 5-4-2) handed the Lions (7-4-3, 6-4-3) their first loss at home.

Jackson Memorial 2, Southern 1

No. 3 Toms River North 1, Brick Memorial 0

Christian Tavares scored in the 26th minute off a set-up from Lee Scheck and the Mariners (8-2-3, 8-1-3) edged the Mustangs (7-8-0, 5-7-0) to keep their hold on first place in Class A South.

Brick 3, Toms River South 1

Kyle Reinstadler, Shane Gilligan and Farid Sandoval all scored first-half goals and the Green Dragons (1-10-2, 1-9-2) beat the Indians (6-5-1, 6-5-0) on the road for their first win of the season. Brendan Laird assisted goals by Reinstadtler and Sandoval, while Gilligan scored on a direct kick.

Ryan Shiffer converted a penalty kick to account for Toms River South's goal.

 

Class B North

Freehold 1, Neptune 0

Moises Garcia scored in the 17th minute of overtime off a pass from Roberto Albarran and the Colonials (4-7-3, 3-4-3) knocked the Scarlet Fliers (4-8-2, 2-6-2) out of Shore Conference Tournament contention.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 2, Ranney 1

Josh Borelli and Charlie Turro scored a goal each and the Garnet Gulls (8-3-0, 7-2-0) edged the Panthers (3-9-0, 1-7-0) to stay in contention for the Class B Central title.

Shore 1, Asbury Park 0

Marcelo Armondes tapped in a cross from Alden Aikens in the ninth minute and the Blue Devils (10-5-0, 8-1-0) held on to shut out the Blue Bishops (7-3-0, 7-3-0) and remain in first place in Class B Central.

Mater Dei Prep 2, Henry Hudson 0

Nic Geneve scored five minutes into the game and Jerry Trotta added a penalty kick in the second half to help the Seraphs (3-12-0, 3-7-0) beat the Admirals (0-11-0, 0-10-0).

 

Class B South

Point Boro 3, Barnegat 0

Dan Hunt scored twice off assists from Sam Monaco - once in each half - and the Panthers (10-3-0, 9-1-0) beat the Bengals (4-8-1, 3-7-1) to keep their spot atop Class B South. Gunnar Schnappauf also scored in the 44th off a pass from Kenny Fellows.

Central 1, Lakewood 1

Monsignor Donovan 6, Manchester 0

Six different Monsignor Donovan players scored a goal and the Griffins (8-2-2, 8-2-0) rolled to a win over the Hawks (3-9-1, 2-7-1). Jake Maxwell, Mike Dalton, Connor Grant, Matt Kelly and Matt Dalton all scored goals in the first half, and Donnie Fahringer scored in the second half to cap the scoring.

Jackson Liberty 4, Pinelands 0

Adam Haidi scored two goals, including a penalty kick, and the Lions (7-4-0, 7-4-0) clinched a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament for the second straight year. Brandon Pirog and Tyler Chamra each added a goal in the win.

 

Non-Division

Red Bank Catholic 2, St. Rose 0

Kevin Davey ripped a shot from the top of the 18-yard box for the opening score in the 12th minute and Pat Meehan finished a cross from Chris Cesario in the 42nd to give the Caseys (6-6-1) plenty of offense for goalkeeper Nick Schweizer and the defense in a win over the Purple Roses (7-7-1).
