Opening Round
(6) Pinelands 4, (27) Point Beach 0
Dominic Dos Santos and Kieran Sundermann each tallied a goal and an assist and the Wildcats (14-1-1) rolled past the Garnet Gulls (10-6) and into the SCT round of 16 on Wednesday. Brothers Frank and Anthony Aguilar each added a goal for Pinelands as well.
(4) Freehold Twp. 4, (29) St. Rose 0
Bennett Messinger broke a scoreless tie with a header early in the second half and Alex Langa added two insurance goals to help lead the Patriots (12-5) to a shutout win over the Purple Roses (8-9-1). Messinger's goal was the first of his varsity career and Zach Orrico also added his first varsity goal to make the score 2-0.
Kevin Finn added a pair of assists for Freehold Township, which will host No. 20 Monmouth Regional on Wednesday in the round of 16.
(5) Ocean 1, (28) Lakewood 0
Erick Vasquez-Gonsalez connected on a goal in the first half and the Spartans (14-2) made it stand up in a shutout win over the Piners (9-7) - their 11th straight victory. Max Winters earned the clean sheet with two saves.
Ocean will host No. 12 Point Boro in the round of 16 on Wednesday.
(23) Wall 2, (10) Brick Memorial 0
Riley Powers scored two first-half goals and the Crimson Knights (8-8) shut down the Mustangs (8-5-4) to advance to the round of 16 Wednesday at No. 7 Howell. Powers scored off a corner kick and later off a rebound on a shot by Jeremy Thompson.
Brandon Embon saved six shots to nail down the shutout.
(16) Middletown South 2, (17) Freehold Boro 1
Brendan Magner scored the winning goal 2:31 into the second half and the Eagles (10-5-1) held off a frenzied effort by the Colonials (8-9-1) to advance to the round of 16 in the team's first SCT game since 2012.
Freehold Boro tied the game 28 seconds into the second half when Abel Herrera slipped a ball through to Jake Brower who finished a clean look from inside the six-year box.
Magner gave Middletown South the lead right back two minutes later, playing a combination with Zach Oberc and ripping a shot inside the near left post.
The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead 22 minutes into the match when Mike Zito pounced on a rebound following a shot by Jonathan Santos and punched it past Freehold Boro keeper Brendan Duffy.
Middletown South will travel to play top-seeded CBA Wednesday in the SCT round of 16.
(12) Point Boro 1, (21) Asbury Park 0
Leo Schnappauf scored the lone goal of the game on a pass from Jake Brzyski in the 68th minute and the Panthers (10-2-3) pulled out a win over the Blue Bishops (12-3). Steve Redler picked up his ninth clean sheet of the season for Point Boro.
(20) Monmouth 2, (13) Toms River North 1
Joel Burgos returned from a two-game absence to score the tying goal in the second half and Patrick Riordan finished the winning goal off a pass from Brian Waltsak in the 65th minute to spark the Falcons (10-7) to a win over the Mariners for their first SCT win since 2007.
(19) Raritan 2, (14) Southern 1
Nick Bavaro scored a goal in the first half and Anthony Sparacino added what turned out to be a crucial insurance goal to help the Rockets (7-5-3) top the Rams (8-7-1) and advance to the SCT round of 16 Wednesday against No. 3 Jackson Memorial.
Ethan Leming scoring in the 77th minute to cut the Raritan lead in half and Southern had a potential game-tying goal waved off due to an offsides call in the final minute.
(18) Shore 2, (15) Middletown North 0
Taylor Souza scored in the 33rd minute and assisted a goal by Chris LaMarca in the 46th to lead the Blue Devils (8-7-1) past the Lions (8-9) and into the Shore Conference Tournament round of 16 Wednesday against No. 2 Holmdel.
Shore faced Holmdel twice during the regular season and lost both games by a combined score of 10-2.
Chris Panduri turned in the shutout in goal by stopping 10 shots.
(7) Howell 8, (26) Barnegat 1
Five different Howell players scored in the first half and Jared Rubman and Nick Cavellero each added a second goal in the second half to spark the Rebels (9-5-1) to a blowout win over the Bengals (8-8), who were making their first ever appearance in the Shore Conference Tournament.
Brandon Downey opened the scoring in the second minute and Mike Anello followed with a goal off a feed from Dylan Dougher in the 18th minute. Rubman, Marcelo Giraldo and Cavellero added first-half goals and Sidhu Arakkal added a 70th-minute goal after both Cavellero and Rubman both scored in the second half.
Cavellero and Rubman each added an assist and Robert Saunders assisted on three goals for the Rebels.
Matt White scored on a pass from Chad Fraser in the 57th minute to break up the Howell shutout.
Howell will host No. 23 Wall in the round of 16 on Wednesday.
(11) Long Branch 2, (22) Toms River East 1 (OT)
Juan Carlos Merino drew two fouls in the penalty box, including one that set up the winning penalty kick in the final two minutes of the second overtime, and the Green Wave (12-4) survived an overtime battle with the Raiders (6-7-1).
Venancio Fernandes finished off the penalty kick for the golden goal and Renan Azevedo converted the equalizer in the 51st minute.
Peter Kozlej gave Toms River East a 1-0 lead with a goal midway through the first half.
(8) Toms River South 1, (25) Matawan 0
Danny Caruso knocked in a left-footed shot on a pass from Jeff Brown in the fifth minute and the Indians (10-4-1) held off the Huskies (6-6-2) to advance to the round of 16. Toms River South will face the winner of the quarterfinal match between Rumson-Fair Haven and Lacey, which was postponed due to the death of a Rumson student on Sunday.

Jordan Finkle and Francesco D'Amato each scored two goals and the Hawks (3-12-1) handled the Red Raiders (3-12).

Nick Maalouf scored the golden goal and the Griffins (5-10-2) edged the Golden Eagles (1-14) in overtime.
