Pio Schiano-Lamoriello scored in the 43rd minute and the Braves (5-2, 5-2) edged the Colonials (4-3-1, 2-3-1) for their third straight win. Senior Ayush Mittal won a loose ball near the edge of the 18-yard box and slid a cross to Schiano-Lamoriello, who tapped in the finish from inside the six-yard box.

No. 3 Freehold Twp. 2, Howell 0

Senior Nick Facendo scored two goals on assists by Anthony Orrico and Mark Fasano and senior Mike Christina earned a shuout in goal as the Patriots (4-1-2, 4-1-1) blanked the Rebels (2-4-1, 2-4-1). Christina was playing in his first game being issued a red card against CBA on Sept. 17.

No. 1 CBA 3, Marlboro 0

Junior Aaron Robertson broke a scoreless tie eight minutes into the second half and junior Tom Judge and senior Nick Meyer each added a goal as the Colts (7-2, 6-1) pulled away for a win over the Mustangs (3-3-1, 2-3-1).

Middletown North 3, Middletown South 0

Juniors Justin McKenna, Ryan Harmon and Elliott De La Rosa each tallied a goal and an assist and the Lions (3-4, 3-4) beat the rival Eagles (0-6, 0-5) under the lights.

 

Class A Central

Holmdel 2, St. John Vianney 0

Seniors Nick Zito and Hunter Chapman each scored a goal and goalkeeper Tyler Marchiano and the Hornets (2-4-2, 1-4-1) shut out the Lancers to snap a six-game winless streak.

Manasquan 2, Matawan 0

Senior Beau Bradley scored two second-half goals within six minutes of one another and the Warriors (6-4, 4-2) topped the Huskies (4-3-1, 2-3-1). Senior Thomas McGill set up Bradley's first goal in the 57th minute and junior Aaron Kocienski assisted his second in the 63rd. Senior Brian Comer nailed down his third shutout of the season in goal.

Monmouth 3, Raritan 0

Senior Bobby Riordan scored two goals on assists from senior Ross Spadavecchia and the Falcons (7-4, 4-3) beat the Rockets (2-5-2, 0-4-2) for their fifth straight win. Chris Micciuli scored the first Monmouth goal off a pass from Joel Burgos and Kevin Ross saved eight shots to earn the shutout.

 

Class A South

Southern 5, Brick 3

Ethan Leming and Matt McHugh each scored two goals and Kyle Montesano added a goal and three assists to help the Rams (2-6, 2-5) beat the Green Dragons (1-6, 1-5). Montesano assisted a goal by Leming that gave Southern a 3-2 lead in the 51st minute and scored 1:30 later to stretch the lead to two goals. McHugh added his second goal in the 72nd to put the game on ice.

Montesano set up a goal by Leming in the eighth minute and another by McHugh in the 11th to stake the Rams to an early 2-0 lead.

Brick battled back to tie the game by halftime on goals by Frankie Firetto in the 26th and Brandon Laird in the 31st.

 

Class B North

Long Branch 2, Red Bank 1

Ygor DaSilva assisted first-half goals by Thomas DeSouza and Leo DaSilva to help the Green Wave (5-3-1, 3-1-1) top the Bucs (1-5-1, 1-4-1).

Robert DeMarco scored just before halftime to pull Red Bank within a goal, but goalkeeper Kevin Solano and the Long Branch defense held the lead in the second half.

No. 7 Wall 1, No. 4 Ocean 0

Reilly Barcas redirected a free kick by Zach Ferry into the goal with his head 5:35 into the match and the Wall defense made it stand up as the Crimson Knights (7-0-1, 5-0-1) beat the Spartans (6-2, 5-1) to seize sole possession of first place in Class B North.

Junior goalkeeper Nolan Cloney saved eight shots to notch his seventh shutout, helping Wall offset a 16-2 advantage in shots for Ocean.

Neptune 2, Red Bank Catholic 0

Danny Fonrose scored on a pass from McKenna Church and Matt Jegou converted a feed from Vinnie Tremarco to help the Scarlet Fliers (4-6, 1-5) beat the Caseys (0-7-1, 0-5-1).

 

Class B South

Donovan Catholic 3, Lakewood 1

Junior Matt Dalton scored 15 minutes into the game and junior Kevin Dillon and senior Brant Reymann each added a second-half goal to help the Griffins (4-2-2, 4-1-2) beat the Piners.

Anthony Calixto scored in the 70th minute for Lakewood.

 

Non-Division

No. 10 Colts Neck 2, No. 9 Lacey 1

Rob Berdell assisted goals by Michael Martinho and Chris Greco and the Cougars (5-2-1) overcame a one-goal deficit to beat the Lions (7-2), snapping Lacey's six-game winning streak.

Greco settled a pass from Berdell just inside the top of the 18-yard box on the right side and ripped a low line drive to the far left corner to give Colts Neck a 2-1 lead in the 64th minute. Martinho beat oncoming goalkeeper Bobby Considine for the equalizer in the 51st on a well-placed through ball from Berdell.

Senior Robert Biele gave Lacey a 1-0 lead in the 45th minute by heading in a punt from Considine on the second bounce.
