North Jersey 2 Group III

Andre Wells scored the golden goal off a pass from Enir Radoncic during the first overtime period and the Huskies took down the Raiders to earn a sectional quarterfinal home game Thursday against No. 13 Summit.

 

Central Jersey Group IV

(7) Freehold Twp. 4, (10) Marlboro 0

Sophomore Zach Orrico pumped in a hat trick to lead the Patriots to a first-round win over the Mustangs. Joe Marchiano scored the other Freehold Township goal and Adam Havens, Evan Savino, Cristian Corcione and Alonzo Konstantinidis added an assist each.

(14) Middletown South 2, (3) Hillsborough 1

Matt Glynn scored the winning goal off a corner kick from Jonathan Santos and the Eagles shocked the previously-unbeaten Raiders to advance to the sectional quarterfinals Thursday vs. No. 6 East Brunswick. Alex Sigua scored Middletown South's first goal, which also came off an assist by Santos.

(9) Manalapan 2, (8) Monroe 1

James Besser scored three minutes into the match and later assisted a necessary insurance goal by Mike Kuver in the 43rd minute to propel the Braves to a win over the Falcons and a trip to play No. 1 Hunterdon Central in the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday.

Luke Nelson made a diving save on a header in the final five minutes to preserve the 2-1 lead after Monroe cut the deficit in half in the 75th.

 

Central Jersey Group III

(9) Northern Burlington 1, (8) Freehold Boro 0

(5) Colts Neck 3, (12) Brick 0

Brooks Condon drilled a 25-yard strike to break a scoreless tie in the 39th minute and the Cougars added two goals in the final five minutes to close out a first-round win over the Green Dragons.

Freshman David Tuschmann made it 2-0 in the 75th with his first career goal and Paul Tepedino capped the scoring in the final minute.

Colts Neck will travel to No. 4 Steinert Thursday in the sectional quarterfinal round.

(3) Wall 3, (14) Middletown North 0

Tagg Ancrum opened the scoring in the 12th minute and Johnny Volpe and Aidan Newbury each added a goal to spark the Crimson Knights to a first-round win over the Lions. Wall will host No. 11 Hopewell Valley in Thursday's sectional quarterfinal.

(10) Burlington Twp. 1, (7) Lakewood 0

Shane McMeniman converted a penalty kick for the game's lone goal and the Falcons edged the Piners to earn a quarterfinal trip to play No. 2 Ocean.

(2) Ocean 4, (15) Nottingham 1

Luke Yates scored a goal and assisted another as the Spartans rode a balanced attack past the Northstars and into the sectional quarterfinals Thursday against No. 10 Burlington Township.

Leo Montesinos, Erick Vasquez-Gonzalez and Mark Mauro each added a goal for Ocean.

(1) Neptune 6, (16) Red Bank 1

Senior Wilby Alfred went off for four goals to lead the Scarlet Fliers to a one-sided win over the Bucs in the opening round. Neptune will host No. 9 Northern Burlington in the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday.

Mickenna Church added a goal and an assist and Jett Tinik chipped in a goal as well in the win.

 

Central Jersey Group II

(1) Holmdel 8, (16) Hillside 0

Anthony Arena and Ryan Ferguson each tallied two goals and an assist to lead the Hornets to a rout of the Comets. Holmdel will host No. 9 Robbinsville in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

(14) Shore 2, (3) Delaware Valley 1 (OT)

Max Cameron scored his first career goal in overtime and the Blue Devils upset the Terriers to advance to the sectional quarterfinals Thursday at No. 6 Raritan. Connor Creighton laid a pass off 12 yards from the right post and Cameron blasted a shot inside the near bar to end the game.

Brandon DeNovaes scored Shore's first goal on a penalty kick.

(6) Raritan 5, (11) Monmouth 0

Nick Bavaro and Anthony Sparacino each scored two goals and the Rockets rolled over the Falcons and into the sectional quarterfinals. Bavaro also assisted two goals and Sparacino set up one as well. Jake Fortune accounted for the other Raritan goal and also added an assist.

 

Central Jersey Group I

(8) Point Beach 3, (9) Middlesex 0

The Garnet Gulls scored three goals during a 12-minute stretch of the second half to break the game open and top the Blue Jays. Francisco Crivelli broke the seal in the 58th off a feed from Ki Costa, followed by goals from Alex Atno and Ryan Broduer that put Point Beach ahead, 3-0, in the 70th. Ben Glass assisted each of the last two Point Beach goals.

Point Beach will travel to play No. 1 seed and defending sectional champion Highland Park in Thursday's sectional quarterfinals.

South Jersey Group IV

(5) Howell 2, (12) Rancocas Valley 1

Dylan Dougher opened the scoring in the 52nd minute and assisted a goal by Tom Adams in the 58th to jump-start the Rebels and lead them over the Red Devils. Howell will host No. 13 Lenape in the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday.

(13) Lenape 1, (4) Southern 0

(7) Kingsway 5, (10) Toms River North 2

(2) Jackson Memorial 3, (15) Vineland 0

Dan Russo scored two goals and Andrew Keating added another to spark the Jaguars to an opening-round win over the Fighting Clan. Jackson Memorial will host No. 7 Kinsway in the sectional semifinals on Thursday.

 

South Jersey Group III

(8) Moorestown 2, (9) Toms River East 0

(5) Lacey 2, (12) Absegami 1 (OT)

Sean Moffitt kept Lacey's season alive with a game-tying goal in the final two minutes of regulation and Kip Byrne won it with a golden goal in the 85th as the Lions rallied to beat the Braves. Lacey will travel to No. 4 Seneca for the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday.

(6) Pinelands 0, (11) Toms River South 0 (Pinelands advances on penalties, 3-0)

Gavin Harris saved three penalty kicks in the shootout round and the Wildcats beat the Indians, ending Toms River South's run of three straight NJSIAA sectional championships. Pinelands will travel to play No. 3 Mainland in the sectional quarterfinals on Tuesday.

 

South Jersey Group II

(4) Manasquan 2, (13) Haddon Heights 0

Tommy Johnson assisted a goal by Drew Greenblatt and finished one of his own early in the second half to pace the Warriors to a win over the Garnets. Greenblatt connected on a 25-yard strike in the 35th and Johnson made it 2-0 in the 43rd off a pass from Matt Drake.

Manasquan will host No. 5 Cinnaminson in the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday.

South Jersey Non-Public A

(6) Donovan Catholic 3, (11) Bishop Ahr 0

Robert Milutin scored what proved to be the winning goal in the 14th minute and Brandon Ion and Max Dalton each added one in the second half to key a Griffins win over the Trojans. Donovan Catholic will travel to play No. 3 Notre Dame in the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday.

(8) Red Bank Catholic 2, (9) St. John Vianney 1

Andrew Colannino and John Duffy each scored off a pass from Alex Nichols in the second half to rally the Caseys past the Lancers and into the sectional quarterfinals Thursday against top-seeded CBA.

 

South Jersey Non-Public B

(9) St. Rose 3, (8) Trenton Catholic 0

Christian Riozzi-Bodine, Joey Blaes and Jake Dempsey each scored a goal and the Purple Roses blanked the Iron Mikes to move on to the sectional quarterfinals and a road trip to play top-seeded Immaculata.

(7) Gloucester Catholic 2, (10) Ranney 0
