Class A North

Freehold Twp. 2, No. 9 Freehold Boro 1

Junior Zach Orrico converted a penalty kick in the ninth minute and sophomore Josh Hocheiser added one off a rebound in the 19th and the Patriots (4-3, 3-0) held off the rival Colonials (5-2, 2-1) to remain unbeaten in Class A North play.

Orrico drew takedown in the box and converted the ensuing penalty kick for the game's first goal. Junior Adam Havens later blasted a shot that Freehold Boro goalkeeper Owen Gelber saved but Hocheiser crashed the far post for the follow-up.

Freehold Boro made things interesting in the 75th when junior Chris Casale headed in a cross from classmate Mike Romero-Vargas.

Class B Central

Asbury Park 7, Henry Hudson 0

Chefeston Simeus recorded a hat trick and the Blue Bishops (4-4, 2-2) cruised past the Admirals (1-5, 0-4) for their third straight win. Davenson JoinVilmar, Jean Salomon, Woodley Cagilus and Jesus Ayala each added a goal for Asbury Park.

Non-Division

Lacey 2, Central 0

Senior Sean Moffitt scored his third goal in two games and freshman Ethan Riley added the first goal of his high school career to lead the Lions (3-3-10 to a win over the Golden Eagles (0-7).

Brick at Jackson Liberty, 3:30 p.m.

Point Beach 2, Donovan Catholic 1

Sophomore Luke Zylinski and junior Owen Marcoux each scored in the second half and the Garnet Gulls (4-3) held off a late charge from the Griffins (2-4).
