No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 2, Holmdel 1
Senior Jamie Martin scored two goals during a six-minute stretch of the second half to break a scoreless tie and the Bulldogs (6-0, 4-0) held on to beat the Hornets (1-3-2, 0-3-1) and remain unbeaten.
Martin punched in a flick by senior Peter Halliday on a corner kick to give Rumson a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute and converted a penalty kick in the 61st to make it 2-0. Junior Sam Sapnar and sophomore Owen Greengrove played a commbination with one another and Greengrove played sophomore Jeremy Nives free going to goal. Nives drew the penalty kick and Martin finished to give Rumson a two-goal lead.
Senior Rohan Ghandi cashed in on a penalty kick in the 78th to pull Holmdel within a goal.
St. John Vianney 2, Matawan 1
St. John Vianney benefitted from an own goal in the 23rd minute and John Caracappa made it 2-0 with a goal in the 50th to help the Lancers (2-3, 2-2) hand the Huskies (3-1-1, 2-1-1) their first loss of the season.
Bronson Dhume scored on a penalty kick to slice the Vianney lead in half in the 63rd minute.

Senior Beau Bradley scored on a pass from fellow senior Tolga Guven in the 55th minute and the Warriors (4-2, 2-1) edged the Falcons (2-4, 1-3) for their third straight win.

Senior Rob Berdell converted a penalty kick in the eighth minute and the Cougars (3-1-1, 2-1-0) held on to blank the Scarlet Fliers (3-4, 0-3). Senior Noah Baker earned the shutout in goal.
Long Branch 1, No. 8 Wall 1
Long Branch scored the first goal against Wall this season on a game-tying own goal in the 38th minute and the Green Wave (3-1-1, 1-0-1) and Crimson Knights (3-0-1, 2-0-1) played to a draw. Senior Diego Galiz played a long ball into the 18-yard box and a Wall defender headed the ball over goalkeeper Nolan Cloney and into his own net tie the game at 1.
Wall took the lead in the eighth minute on a goal by senior Reilly Barcas. Senior Zach Ferry played a set piece into the box and Barcas toe-poked it out of the air and past Long Branch keeper Kevin Solano.

Senior Robert Biele recorded his second hat trick of the season and the Lions (4-1) rolled to a win over the Lions (2-2-1). Biele also assisted the other Lacey goal by senior Hunter Dorsey and now has nine goals in five games to open the season.
