No. 9 Toms River North 3, Brick Memorial 1

Mitch Reed assisted a goal by Brett Schneider and later scored two of his own to lead the Mariners (11-3, 11-2) to a win over the Mustangs (1-13-1, 1-11-1). Joe Swanton assisted both goals by Reed.

The win keeps Toms River North alive in the race for the Class A South title, although the Mariners need Toms River South to lose to Southern Saturday to have a chance to win the outright title.

 

Class B Central

No. 10 Asbury Park 5, Henry Hudson 1

Five players scored a goal for Asbury Park and the Blue Bishops (11-1, 10-0) beat the Admirals (5-9, 3-8) to clinch no worse than a share of the Class B Central championship. Jonathan Desulme, Ronald JeanVilma, Alberto Moreno, Schown Narcisse and Widmaier Beaubrun each found the net for Asbury Park, which can clinch its first outright title in what is believed to be more than 20 years by beating or tying Ranney on Monday.

Mater Dei Prep 2, Keyport 1

Bob Bialkowski and Mat Carrigy each scored a goal and the Seraphs (2-11, 2-9) beat the Red Raiders (0-14, 0-10) to sweep the season series between the B Central foes. Brendan O'Brien scored the Keyport goal to tie the game in the ninth minute and Carrigy came through with the winner in the 65th.

St. Rose 2, Ranney 1

Jack Cusack and Brendan Hueth each scored a goal and the Purple Roses (10-5, 8-3) beat the Panthers (9-4, 8-2) to salvage a regular-season split between the two non-public Class B Central rivals.

 

Class B South

Jackson Liberty 5, Manchester 2

Kevin Garry scored two goals and Alex Iorio pitched in a goal and an assist to help the Lions (6-8-1, 4-8-1) top the Hawks (3-11, 3-11). Iorio scored the tying goal in the 32nd minute and Lukas Talalaj gave Jackson Liberty the lead for good one minute before halftime.

Trevor Anderson scored in the 43rd on a pass from Sebastian Navarro and Garry tacked on the final two Jackson Liberty goals.

Juniors Devin Ortiz and Francesco D'Amato scored the two Manchester goals, with Ortiz opening the scoring in the 25th minute.

Lakewood 2, Donovan Catholic 0

Junior Bravo headed in a corner kick by Gio Hernandez and Anthony Calixto drilled a 22-yard strike to the upper 90 to give the Piners (9-8, 7-7) a 2-0 halftime lead on the way to a second win over the Griffins (7-7-2, 6-7-1) this season. The victory also secures Lakewood a Shore Conference Tournament berth, which Lakewood rallied to capture after a 1-6 start to the season.

Pinelands 4, Lacey 0

Matt O'Connell and Jordan Humphreys scored two goals each and the Wildcats (13-2, 12-1) moved within one more win of an outright Class B South championship by beating the Lions (6-9, 6-7). Denilson Salgado also added two assists in the win.

Pinelands will host Point Boro on Monday with the division title on the line.
