Freehold Twp. 55, Manalapan 35 - Watch

Senior Joe Lardaro scored 11 points and sophomore Jayden Holmes-Cotter added 10 as the Patriots (2-1) frontcourt tandem paced Freehold Township to a second win over the Braves (0-2).

Senior Zach Orrico added nine points for Freehold Township while junior Gabe Blackwell led Manalapan with 12.

No. 7 Holmdel 74, St. John Vianney 57 - Watch

Senior Alex Baker scored 22 points and classmate Kyle Polivka poured in 19 as the Hornets (6-0) finished off a sweep of the crosstown-rival Lancers (3-3).

Senior Anthony Pesce also chipped in 11 points and senior Ryan Bradley netted nine for Holmdel.

Junior Nate Williams led St. John Vianney with 17 points, freshman Dylan Seay added 15 and sophomore Connor Howard 11 in the loss.

Middletown North 48, Raritan 35 - Watch

Junior Matt Kenny scored 17 points and senior Vinny Pennino added 12 to lead the Lions (3-3) to their second win of the week over the Rockets (2-4). Junior Justin Rivera led Raritan with a game-high 18 points.

No. 2 Ranney 52, No. 9 Wall 43 - Watch

Sophomore Isaac Hester scored seven of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and the Panthers (5-0) pulled away in the final eight minutes to finish off a sweep of the Crimson Knights (0-5). Hester added five assists and three steals.

Junior Elijah Perkins added 12 points and four steals and junior Ryan Zan pitched in seven points and 12 rebounds for Ranney.

Senior Pat Lacey scored 14 of his 17 points in the first half and senior Tom Palluzzi added 12 for Wall, which took a 39-38 lead into the fourth quarter just two days after losing, 67-31, to Ranney at home.

Senior Logan Peters assisted two go-ahead baskets by Palluzzi and one by junior Colin Ackerman. Ackerman scored to make it 36-34 and after Ranney junior T.J. Brasswell came up with a steal and a dunk to give Ranney a 38-36 lead, Peters found Palluzzi in the corner for a three to make it 39-38 in the final two minutes of the third.

Hester scored the first four points of the fourth quarter and Perkins sliced through the defense for a floater to get Ranney rolling in the fourth and force a Wall timeout. Junior Brandon Klatsky hit a three and senior Kyle Rhoden hit a pair of free throws after a steal to push the Ranney lead to double-digits.

No. 4 CBA 60, Middletown South 30 - Watch

Senior Mike White scored 18 points and classmate Dane Moran poured in 13 as the Colts (4-2) handled the Eagles (0-4) for the second time this week. CBA played without senior standout Colin Farrell (day-to-day) for the second straight game due to a knee injury, according to CBA assistant Bob O'Connor.

Matawan 50, Colts Neck 43 - Watch

Senior Andre Wells scored all 18 of his points in the second half and also posted seven rebounds and five assists as the Huskies (3-3) salvaged a split against the Cougars (2-4) after dropping the first game of the series on Tuesday.

Senior Mike Sienienczuk added 13 points and eight rebounds for Matawan.

Sophomore Will Surdez led Colts Neck with 18 points.

Freehold Boro 52, Long Branch 40 - Watch

Senior Jiasion Carpenter and junior Tyler Ochojski each posted a double-double and the Colonials (4-2) coasted to a win over the Green Wave (0-3). Carpenter led the way with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Ochojski put up 11 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

Senior Ryan Neely also chipped in 11 points, five assists and five steals while senior Mike Sikaras contributed nine points.

Monmouth 62, Ocean 40 - Watch

Seniors A.J. Po and Kiran Desai each scored 14 points and the Falcons (1-0) finally opened their 2021 season after a two-week wait, doing so with a convincing win over the Spartans (1-4).

Junior Aiden Denton chipped in 10 points for Monmouth, which was shut down during the first week-and-a-half of the season, then had three different opponents (Red Bank Catholic, Freehold Township and Neptune) cancel on them this week.

New Egypt 44, Lacey 39 - Watch Live

Senior Jacob Bowles scored 14 points in Lacey's first game of the season, but the Warriors (2-5) spoiled the season debut of the Lions (0-1).

Sophomore Troy Buxton added 11 points and sophomore Carson Howard chipped in 10 points and 12 rebounds for Lacey.
