Red Bank Catholic 59, Holmdel 37

No. 7 Manasquan 66, St. John Vianney 51

Sophomore Jack Sheehan scored 23 points behind five 3-pointers and the Warriors (11-2, 9-1) topped the Lancers (6-12, 3-6) to remain in first place in Class A Central. Junior Aidan McMenaman added 13 points, while senior Tom Toole had nine points, seven rebounds and nine assists.

Rumson-Fair Haven 76, Monmouth 43

Sophomore Brendan Barry scored 25 points on 8-for-9 shooting from behind the three-point line to lead the Bulldogs (9-6, 4-5) past the Falcons (1-15, 0-10). Senior Dan Curtis led Monmouth with 12 points and junior Kyle Bradshaw had 11 in the loss.

 

Class A South

Southern 45, No. 8 Jackson Memorial 43

Junior Jake Logue hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 13 seconds left and the Rams (8-6, 6-3) knocked off the Jaguars (12-5, 8-2) for the second time this season. Southern led by 15 at one point in the second half, only to see its lead disappear when Jackson took a 43-38 lead late in the fourth.

Senior Mike Gesicki led Southern with 21 points and 12 rebounds and helped get the Rams within striking distance with two free throws and a dunk to cut the deficit to 43-42 with 34 seconds left. Logue finished with 20 points and hit four threes.

Senior Eric Carter led Jackson Memorial with 12 points, while senior Jimmy Markham scored 10 off the bench.

Toms River South 67, Brick 54 (OT)

Senior Darius Hart led four Toms River South players in double-figures with 19 points and the Indians (11-5, 7-4) needed overtime to fight off the Green Dragons (1-15, 0-10). Sophomore Tyler Fall poured in 16 points, senior Marquis Davis had 14 points and junior Khaleel Green added 12 in the win.

Junior Brian Oehme scored 18 points to go with 13 rebounds and four blocks to lead Brick, while junior Dan Berg added 17 points in the loss.

Lacey 38, Brick Memorial 36

Senior Jordan Arce hit two free throws with one second left and the Lions (7-7, 6-4) won a tight game against the Mustangs (8-6, 6-5) in Class A North. Junior Chris Iapicco led Lacey with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Toms River North 64, Toms River East 37

Juniors Jordan Craig and Ted Thelemaque each scored 16 points and the Mariners (9-9, 6-5) rolled to a win over the Raiders (6-9, 2-8) to climb back to .500. Sophomore Pat Marinaccio also scored 11 points for Toms River North.

 

Class B North

No. 6 Neptune 66, Wall 62 (OT)

Senior Shakeem Richardson scored 21 points and the Scarlet Fliers (9-5, 7-2) survived an overtime battle with the Crimson Knights (6-11, 1-8). Richardson also had five rebounds, seven assists and seven steals in the win.

Junior Diondre Dunn added 13 points while senior Myles Mooney chipped in 11 for Neptune.

Junior Brendan Barcas led four Wall players in double-figures with 16 points. Junior Trent Mitchell added 13 points and nine rebounds, while brothers Ryan and R.J. Janeczek each scored 11 points.

No. 3 Matawan 64, Ocean 49

Senior Chris Tawiah scored 19 points and senior Austen Planes added 13 as the Huskies (15-2, 8-1) topped to Spartans (6-9, 3-6) for the second time this season.

 

Class B Central

St. Rose 57, Ranney 40

Senior Dan Borner scored 23 points to lead the Purple Roses (12-4, 9-2) to a win over the Panthers (6-9, 2-9).

No. 1 Point Beach 74, Henry Hudson 39

Senior Matt Farrell poured in a season-high 30 points and the Garnet Gulls (16-0, 10-0) beat the Admirals (6-9, 4-7) to remain unbeaten. Senior Dom Uhl also scored 19 points for Point Beach.

Senior Jaxon Terrell led Henry Hudson with 17 points while sophomore Chris Coberg contributed 13.

Keansburg 54, Keyport 52

Senior Kason Preston continued his torrid stretch with 27 points and the Titans (3-12, 3-8) won for the third time in four games after an 0-11 start by beating the rival Red Raiders (10-4, 8-3). Over the last four games, Preston is averaging better than 27 points per game and has two 36-point games in that stretch as well.

Senior Alex Thomson led Keyport with 22 points.

Class B South

No. 5 Lakewood 75, Central 61

Senior Ben Watson scored a career-high 29 points to go with 12 rebounds and the Piners (14-3,10-0) topped the Golden Eagles (4-9, 3-6) to remain unbeaten in Class B South. Senior Dan Niblack added 13 points, sophomore Amir Tyler had 12 and sophomore Hassan Diawara netted nine points in the win.

Point Boro 63, Barnegat 39

Sophomore Peyton Wejnert scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help the Panthers (10-5, 8-3) get past the Bengals (0-15, 0-10). Senior Will Boccanfuso chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, six steals and two blocks, while senior Brian Byington added eight points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Jackson Liberty 56, Pinelands 42

Senior Mike Healy scored 20 points and the Lions (9-8, 5-5) topped the Wildcats (4-11, 2-8) in Class B South.

Manchester 82, Monsignor Donovan 78

All five Manchester starters scored in double-figures and sophomore Israel Almestica posted 10 points, 20 rebounds and four blocks to lead the Hawks (11-5, 5-4) to a win over the Griffins (10-5, 6-3).

Senior KaShaun Barnes scored a game-high 19 points, sophomore Shavar Reynolds had 18 points, senior Darius Barlow added 17, and sophomore Jordan Torney chipped in 14.

Senior Kyle Carrington led Monsignor Donovan with 17 points, while junior James Fata (14 points), senior Tom Cerami (12) and senior Eamonn Kearney (11) all joined Carrington in double-figure scoring for the Griffins.
