Howell 62, Manalapan 56

Junior Aaron Trimble had 19 points, five rebounds and five assists and the Rebels (4-9, 2-6) topped the Braves (4-7, 2-5) to snap a three-game slide. Senior Donovan Griffith added 16 points and junior Zack Rovner chipped in 10 points and six assists for Howell.

Sophomore Scott Scherer led Manalapan with 14 points.

Freehold Twp. 61, Middletown South 48

Junior Jason Czajkowski scored 18 points and senior Jordan McGill added 10 to help the Patriots (9-5, 6-1) take down the Eagles (2-10, 0-7).

No. 2 CBA 70, Colts Neck 30

Sophomore Pat Andree scored 22 points and senior Evan Gordinier scored eight in his first game back from a foot injury as the Colts (9-4, 8-0) stormed past the Cougars (6-5, 5-3).

Middletown North 60, Marlboro 45

Senior Ian Wyckoff led four players in double-figures with 14 points and the Lions (8-3, 5-2) won their fourth straight by beating the Mustangs (5-8, 2-6).

 

Class A Central

No. 7 Manasquan 62, Holmdel 41

Sophomore Ryan Jensen scored 21 points and the Warriors (9-2, 7-1) outscored the Hornets (8-7, 5-3) 23-6 in the fourth quarter to pick up the win and move back into first place in Class A Central.

Senior Tommy Toole added 13 points and senior Jack Fay poured in 12 in the win. Sophomore Jeff Harris led Holmdel with 18 points and senior Gerard Nocera chipped in 13 for Holmdel.

Raritan 33, Monmouth 27

Sophomore Joe Strand scored 13 points and nine rebounds while sophomore Dylan Dewysockie added 13 points and eight boards to lead the Rockets (4-12, 2-6) to a win over the Falcons (1-13, 0-8), snapping a nine-game losing streak.

Shore 77, No. 6 Red Bank Catholic 58

Junior Kevin Bloodgood scored a game-high 22 points and the Blue Devils (10-5, 5-3) won their fourth straight by beating the Caseys (8-4, 6-2). Junior Dan Largey poured in 17 points, while senior Dan Pillari added 14 and junior Jack Byrne chipped in 10.

Junior Joe Montano led Red Bank Catholic with 14 points.

Rumson-Fair Haven 65, St. John Vianney 63 (OT)

Sophomore Brendan Barry scored 23 points and dished out seven assists to help the Bulldogs (8-4, 3-4) rally from a 17-point deficit and beat the Lancers (4-10, 3-4) in overtime. Senior Jack Herrmann added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Rumson.

Senior Vinny Facchino and sophomore Grant Goode led St. John Vianney with 15 points each.

 

Class A South

No. 10 Jackson Memorial 60, Toms River South 45

Senior Eric Carter scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half to go with 13 rebounds, six assists and two blocks and the Jaguars (10-4, 6-1) outscored the Indians (9-4, 5-3) 24-8 in the fourth quarter to pick up another win in Class A South.

Junior Jesse Hill led Jackson Memorial with a game-high 19 points, including 16 in the second half, and pulled down seven rebounds. Junior Tymere Berry led Toms River South with 16 points, 13 of which came in the second half.

No. 8 Southern 72, Toms River East 63

Junior Jake Logue scored 18 points and senior Mike Gesicki added 16 as the Rams (6-5, 4-3) ended a three-game skid by beating the Raiders (6-6, 2-5).

Junior Zac Halliday chipped in 12 points for Southern, while sophomore Ryan West led Toms River East with a game-high 19 points to go with eight rebounds. Junior Nat Amadeo also added 11 points and five rebounds for the Raiders.

 

Class B North

Neptune 57, No. 4 Long Branch 52

Senior Shakeem Richardson scored 30 points on an efficient 8-for-14 shooting and the Scarlet Fliers (8-4, 6-2) beat their second opponent ranked in Shore Sports Network top five in as many days, this time topping the Green Wave (10-3, 6-2). After ending Matawan's 11-game winning streak on Monday, Neptune snapped Long Branch's six-game winning streak.

Senior Terrel Cox out-dueled Richardson by scoring a game-high 32 points.

Freehold 63, Wall 51

Freshman Elijah Barnes scored a career-high 24 points and the Colonials (3-10, 2-6) beat the Crimson Knights (6-8, 1-6) to sweep the season series. Wall junior Trent Mitchell scored a game-high 27 points in the loss and classmate Ryan Janeczek added 10 points.

No. 3 Matawan 61, Ocean 37

Senior Jason Dunne scored a game-high 27 points and the Huskies (13-2, 6-1) rolled to a win over the Spartans (4-7, 1-5) after their 12-game winning streak ended Monday at Neptune.

 

Class B Central

Mater Dei Prep 45, Henry Hudson 39

Junior Tyshaun White scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Seraphs (6-5, 5-3) to a win over the Admirals (5-7, 3-6). Senior Jaxon Terrell led Henry Hudson with 17 points and sophomore Chris Coberg chipped in 15 points in the loss.

No. 1 Point Beach 76, Keyport 55

Senior Noah Yates scored a game-high 20 points and the Garnet Gulls (13-0, 8-0) beat the Red Raiders (9-3, 7-2) for their 13th straight win to open the season. Senior Matt Farrell added 17 points and senior Dom Uhl netted 14 in the win.

Senior Alex Thomson led Keyport with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while senior Ezra Hill had 13 points and five assists.

 

Class B South

Pinelands 46, Barnegat 35

Junior Milanj Coursey scored 18 points and the Wildcats (4-9, 2-6) beat the Bengals (0-12, 0-8) to end a six-game losing streak in the division. Junior Kyle Morris led Barnegat with 11 points.

No. 5 Lakewood 51, Point Boro 48

Senior Ben Watson posted 15 points and 11 rebounds and the Piners (11-3, 8-0) rallied from a six-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to survive the Panthers (8-5, 6-3) and remain unbeaten in Class B South.

Sophomore Amir Tyler added 12 points, five rebounds and three steals while senior Dan Niblack chipped in eight points and eight rebounds for Lakewood.

Sophomore Peyton Wejnert led Point Boro with 21 points while senior Will Boccanfuso contributed 11 points and 11 rebounds.

 

Non-Division

No. 9 Red Bank 64, Jackson Liberty 36

Sophomore Sadiq Palmer and junior Eddie Hendrex scored 12 points each and junior Moses Birch blocked seven shots to lead the Bucs (8-4) to a win over the Lions (7-7).
