(3) Red Bank Catholic 58, (6) Point Boro 43

Sophomore Charlie Gordinier scored 16 of his game-high 22 points in the first half and the Caseys (4-1) cruised past the Panthers (4-1) and into the WOBM semifinals on Thursday night. Junior John Duffy added 16 points in the win.

Point Boro cut a 33-16 second-quarter deficit to 36-30 by the middle of the third quarter, but RBC closed the third with nine straight points, including six by Gordinier. The Caseys stretched the run to 15-0 to go up 51-30 early in the fourth.

Senior John Duda led Point Boro with 20 points while senior Connor Costigan added 13 in the loss.

(2) Manasquan 63, (7) Middletown South 55

Junior Brad McCabe scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Warriors (5-0) past the Eagles (3-2) and into the WOBM semifinals Thursday against Class B North rival Red Bank Catholic.

McCabe shot 6-for-9 from beyond the three-point arc and also came up with a key blocked shot in the final three minutes with Middletown South trying to come back.

Senior Ryan Flanagan added 12 points, while senior Emilio Stevenson and Xander Korolik added eight points and 10 rebounds.

Senior Ryan Purcell led Middletown South with 22 points and senior Dave Gervase added 13. The Eagles trailed 35-14 in the second quarter and went on a 12-0 run over the end of the third and early in the fourth to pull within 46-42.

(5) Marlboro 66, (13) Brick Memorial 42

Senior Justin Marcus scored 17 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to pace Marlboro (3-2) to a lopsided win over Brick Memorial (3-1). The Mustangs advance to the WOBM semifinals on Thursday.

Junior Dylan Kaufman, senior Brian Levine and sophomore Alex Ratner added 10 points apiece, with Kaufman also grabbing 10 rebounds and Levine posting seven assists and four steals.

Marlboro led 15-14 early in the second quarter before blowing the game open with 20 straight points before halftime. The Mustangs scored the first two baskets of the third quarter to make it a 24-0 run that turned a one-point lead into a 39-14 second-half lead. Marlboro pushed the lead as high as 29 at 48-19.

Senior Anthony Argondizza led Brick Memorial with 16 points while senior Jake Sliazis and senior Vin Vecchione each scored nine in the loss.

(1) Toms River North 63, (9) St. Rose 40

Senior Travis Holland led a balanced scoring effort with 15 points and the Mariners (5-0) coasted to a win over the Purple Roses (3-2). Toms River North will play No. 5 seed Marlboro in the WOBM Classic semifinals on Thursday.

Senior Mark Mogarte added 13 points, six rebounds and five assists and senior Elliot Daks poured in 10 points and grabbed 10 boards for Toms River North. Senior Nick Perna also pitched in six points, six rebounds and four assists in the win.

Sophomore John Beattie led St. Rose with 15 points.

At Toms River Athletic Arena

(14) Lacey 85, (11) Toms River East 76

Junior Carl Swenson scored a game-high 25 points and the Lions (2-3) erupted for 56 second-half points to race past the Raiders (1-4). Swenson scored 12 of his points in the third quarter, during which Lacey outscored Toms River East 30-22.

Junior Kevin O'Rourke added 22 points and sophomore Kalvin Kuhn poured in 18 for Lacey.

Senior Nick Shortino led Toms River East with 22 points, one of four Raider in double-figures. Senior Zyaire Dorn scored 16 points, senior Nick Silvia netted 15 and sophomore Mike Goodall contributed 11 points in the loss.

(15) Toms River South 47, (10) Central 44

Sophomore Jalen Folsom scored a team-high 14 points and the Indians (1-4) edged the Golden Eagles (0-5). Senior Dillon Hope scored all 11 of his points in the second half while sophomore Rob Marro hit three first-half threes and finished with 10 points for Toms River South.

Freshman Marvin Goodwine scored all of his game-high 19 points in the first half, including five three-pointers.

At Toms River North Gym

(4) Freehold Twp. 65, (12) Manchester 27

Junior Cristian Corcione scored 12 points to lead a balanced offensive effort for the Patriots (2-3), who coasted past the Hawks (0-5) in the consolation round.

Seniors Joe Gargiulo and Ja'Zeem Foster each added 10 points, while senior Doug Kneipher and junior Seth Meisner each poured in nine for Freehold Township.

Senior Jerry Ward led Manchester with 13 points.

(16) Jackson Memorial 58, (8) Donovan Catholic 52

Senior Alex Cabrera led four Jackson players in double-figure scoring with 15 points and the Jaguars (2-2) outlasted the Griffins (2-3). Cabrera also pulled in eight rebounds.

Juniors Jayson Lee and Tommy Mitchell added 11 points each and senior Gerard Panella pitched in 10 for Jackson Memorial.

Senior Jethro Moll and junior Matt Melon each scored 14 points to lead Donovan Catholic while junior Phil Mylod added 10 in defeat.

Junior Alexx Harbour scored 18 points and senior Donte Abrams added 12, but the Blue Bishops (2-2) fell to the Falcons (2-1) in the SATS quarterfinals.

Junior Vinnie Deck scored 23 points, but the Rams (2-2) fell to the Spartans (4-1), who will play St. Joseph of Metuchen in the tournament semifinals on Wednesday.

Wall 65, Cape May Tech 57

Senior Steve Geis scored a game-high 28 points to go with six rebounds and five assists and the Crimson Knights (2-2) held off Cape May Tech to advance to the tournament final against Oakcrest Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.

Senior Andy Lenneper pitched in 14 points and nine rebounds while junior Trey Dombroski poured in 11 points for Wall.
