Red Bank 57, Shore 46 - Watch

Senior Nick Ferrogine scored 18 points and the Bucs (1-6) topped the Blue Devils (2-4) for their first win of the season.

Senior Matt Keegan added 15 points and junior Patrick Murray pitched in 10 for Red Bank.

Senior John Smith led Shore with 14 points on four three-pointers, freshman Alex George poured in 11 and senior Chris Kessler chipped in 10 in the loss.

Keyport 65, Keansburg 36 - Watch

Keyport's junior trio of D.J. Thomson, George Mitchell and Anthony Longo took over on Keyport's Senior Day and the Red Raiders (7-2) rolled to a win over the rival Titans (3-6).

Thomson led the way with 20 points while Mitchell and Longo each added 15 for Keyport.

Senior Patrick Beltran led Keansburg with 10 points and Keyport limited Titans leading scorer Davon Jackson to seven.

Brick 47, Lakewood 21 - Watch

Southern 62, Toms River East 38 - Watch

Senior Jay Silva and junior Nick Devane scored 13 points apiece and the Rams (9-1) routed the Raiders (1-9) to secure their ninth straight win.

Seniors Bruk Paul and Nick Desiderio and junior Jaden Anthony each added nine points, with Anthony also contributing eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

Sophomore Dylan Russell led Toms River East with 10 points.

Central 50, Brick Memorial 42 - Watch

Senior Gianni Smith scored 15 points and sophomore John Truhan added nine as the Golden Eagles (7-2) rode a balanced all-around effort to a win over the Mustangs (5-6).

Sophomore Josh Michigan led Brick Memorial with 12 points and classmate Dorian Alston added nine.

Lacey 75, Toms River South 56 - Watch

Sophomore Troy Buxton drained 25 points and dished out seven assists to help lead the Lions (3-3) to a win over the Indians (3-8).

Fellow sophomore Carson Howard posted 20 points and 14 rebounds for Lacey. Sophomore Chris Veturoso chipped in 14 points and senior Jacob Bowles added seven points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and 5 steals in the win.

Junior Gavin Migliori scored 19 points and senior Neil Kwincinski added 10 to lead Toms River South.

Jackson Liberty 56, Barnegat 52 (OT) - Watch

Junior Dallas Weisse scored 16 points and senior Dubem Emenuga and junior Phanique Dupree each poured in 15 and the Lions (6-4) outlasted the Bengals (7-3) for their fifth straight win and sixth in seventh.

Dupree scored the tying basket in regulation with just under a minute to go. Weisse banked in a three-pointer to open overtime and Emenuga followed with a putback to account for the first five points of overtime.

Senior Jaxon Baker led Barnegat with a game-high 19 points and senior Tyler Quinn added 10 in the loss.

Toms River North 59, Donovan Catholic 45 - Watch on SSN

Senior Wesley Deitch and junior A.J. Emnace each scored 14 points and the Mariners (9-2) pulled away to beat the Griffins (3-6).

Senior Ethan Paul added nine points and senior Jake Kazanowsky chipped in eight points and 10 rebounds for Toms River North.

Junior Dylan Orosz led Donovan Catholic with 12 points while senior Trevor Pruitt and junior Amari Ayala-Petty each added 10 in the loss.

Manchester 57, Point Boro 43 - Watch

Junior Savon Myers scored a career-high 30 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, dished out seven assists and swiped six steals as the Hawks (6-2) topped the Panthers (2-4) to halt a brief two-game skid that followed their 5-0 start and subsequent two-week shutdown.

Junior Wyatt Haselbauer added 10 points for Manchester, while junior Matt Lee and sophomore Steve Mellett led Point Boro with 12 points each.

 

Non-Division

St. Rose 42, Freehold Boro 39 - Watch

Senior Tom Turnbach scored seven of his 17 points during a furious fourth-quarter rally and the Purple Roses (1-5) erased a 16 point deficit in the last six minutes to stun the Colonials (4-6) for their first win.

Freehold Boro led, 36-20, at the six-minute mark and the Purple Roses still trailed by 13 with 3:30 to go. They responded by scoring the last 16 points of the game, part of a 22-3 run over the final six minutes.

Junior Colin Westhoven made what turned out to be the winning play by stealing the ball near midcourt and scoring as he was fouled to push St. Rose in front, 40-39, with 17 seconds left.

After Westhoven misses the free throw, Freehold Boro senior Mike Sikaras earned a trip to the line with 4.7 seconds left but could not get either attempt to fall. Two players - one from each team - combined to bat the second miss up off the front of the rim before Turnbach grabbed the rebounds, absorbed a foul and hit both free throws with under one second to go to put the game on ice.

Junior Nick DiNitale scored all seven of his points in the fourth quarter and junior Luke Farrell also finished with seven points for St. Rose, which scored only eight points in the first half but kept within striking distance by only allowing 14.

Freshman Christian DiGiso led Freehold Boro with nine points on three three-pointers and senior Mike Caleo added eight in the loss. St. Rose held the Freehold Boro top-scoring trio of Jiasion Carpenter, Ryan Neely and Tyler Ochojski to 15 combined points, with Carpenter (six points) fouling out with 5:05 left and his team leading, 36-23.

Ocean 50, Asbury Park 43 - Watch

Seniors Matt Shaw and Evan Peters each scored 17 points and Shaw added eight rebounds as the Spartans (6-4) beat the Blue Bishops (5-5) for their fifth straight win.

Sophomore Sha'Born Goodman led Asbury Park with 16 points and four steals.

Raritan 54, Piscataway Tech 33 - Watch

Junior Justin Rivera scored 14 points and John Bachmann scored 11 on Senior Night as the Rockets (5-4) rolled to a win over Piscataway Tech (7-4).
