No. 10 Rumson-Fair Haven 49, Marlboro 44

Junior Teddy Sourlis scored 15 points on five three-pointers, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 1:30 left in the game as the Bulldogs (7-0) edged the Mustangs (6-2) to remain unbeaten. Sophomore Ian O'Connor added eight points and hit four consecutive free throws in the final 1:06 to close out the game.

Senior Dan Weiss led Marlboro with 14 points while sophomore Dylan Kaufman added 13 points and 12 rebounds.

No. 4 Toms River North 57, No. 7 CBA 51

Senior Jaden Rhoden scored 20 points and hauled in 12 rebounds to earn MVP honors and lead the Mariners (8-1) past the Colts (5-2). Rhoden hit four of six free-throw attempts over the final 1:44, part of an 8-for-10 effort by Toms River North at the line overall in the final two minutes.

Junior Travis Holland added 17 points and seven rebounds and also converted a key three-point play with just over two minutes left to give Toms River North a 49-45 lead.

Senior Mike Nyisztor also poured in 12 points for Toms River North.

Sophomore Liam Kennedy led CBA with 18 points and four assists. Junior Rob Mahala also scored 13 points, while sophomore Josh Cohen posted 12 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Patrick School 65, No. 1 Mater Dei Prep 42

Senior guard and Minnesota recruit Jamir Harris scored 17 points, including the 1,000th of his high school career, and the Celtics (6-2) steamrolled the previously unbeaten Seraphs (7-1). Senior Jordan Walker added 13 points, junior Valdir Manuel scored 11 and 6-11 senior center and Kentucky recruit Nick Richards chipped in eight points and six blocks.

Senior Elijah Barnes led Mater Dei with 11 points while junior Yasin Pretlow scored eight in the loss. Mater Dei led 9-7 in the first quarter before Patrick School rattled off a 19-4 run over the remainder of the half.

No. 3 Freehold Twp. 66, Holmdel 46

Seniors Steve Staklinski and Ryan Zyskowski scored 15 points each to lead five Freehold Township scorers in double-figures as the Patriots (9-0) beat the Hornets (3-3) for their ninth straight win to open the season.

Zyskowski also hauled in 11 rebounds and handed out five assists. Sophomore Greg Billups added 13 points, senior Ryan Cardone had 10 points and six rebounds, and senior Bobby Weise chipped in 11 points, five assists and three steals for Freehold Township.

Senior Mike Simurro led Holmdel with 10 points and senior Joe Sciacca added 10 in the loss.

Neptune 54, Middletown North 46

Junior Jared Kimbrough scored 18 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked five shots to lead the Scarlet Fliers (5-3) past the Lions (4-5). Senior Jules Calhoun also scored 15 points for Neptune.

Senior Marc Cerbo led Middletown North with 14 points.
