Junior Brad McCabe scored 27 points to go with nine rebounds and senior Ryan Flanagan made a run at a triple-double to lead the Warriors (7-0) past the host Mariners (6-1) for their second WOBM title in the last three years.

Flanagan finished with 21 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists to earn a spot on the All-Tournament First Team, while McCabe was named tournament MVP after averaging 19.7 for the tournament and 25.3 over the last three games.

Senior Emilio Stevenson added 11 points for Manasquan, including a pair of big three-pointers in the fourth quarter to stave off a late rally by Toms River North.

Senior Travis Holland led Toms River North with 23 points. Senior Mark Mogarte scored 11 points and senior Eliot Daks added 10 in the loss.

 

Third Place Game

At Pine Belt Arena

(3) Red Bank Catholic 59, (5) Marlboro 48

Senior John Kelly led five RBC players with at least eight points as the Caseys (5-2) locked up third place at the WOBM Classic by upending the Mustangs (3-4). Kelly finished with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Junior John Duffy poured in 14 points, while senior Matt Ansell and junior Steven Lubischer added 10 each. Sophomore Charlie Gordinier pitched in eight points, 11 rebounds and four assists for RBC.

Junior Dylan Kaufman led Marlboro with 22 points and sophomore Alex Ratner chipped in 11 in the loss.

 

Albert E. Martin Buc Holiday Classic

At Red Bank

Championship

(3) No. 6 Colts Neck 80, (4) Sayreville 53

Senior Danny Gaines scored 21 of his game-high 29 points in the first half and the Cougars coasted (6-0) past the previously-unbeaten Bombers (5-1) to complete a dominant three-game performance and a capture a Buc Classic championship. Gaines hit seven three-pointers Saturday and was named the tournament MVP.

Colts Neck won its three Buc Classic games by an average margin of 33 points.

Third Place

(2) Lakewood 59, (8) Freehold Boro 43

Senior Kevin Dent scored 16 points and the Piners (3-3) rolled past the Colonials (1-5) to take third place at the Buc Classic. Senior Jyheir Jones added 11 points and sophomore Ryan Savoy posted eight points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks for Lakewood.

Fifth Place

(1) Middletown North 52, (7) Red Bank 46

Junior Rob Higgins scored a game-high 28 points and the Lions (4-2) topped the Bucs (1-5) to secure fifth place in the Buc Classic. Senior Dave Campbell added 18 points for Middletown North.

Junior Dean Hottmann led Red Bank with 11 points and junior Liam Joyce chipped in 10 in the loss.

Neptune Holiday Jubilee

At Neptune

Championship

(1) Seton Hall Prep 64, (3) No. 4 Neptune 52

Junior Ashton Miller scored a game-high 28 points to claim the tournament's MVP award and lead the Pirates (6-0) past the Scarlet Fliers (5-1) to win the Jubilee title. Sophomore Jabri Abdur-Rahim - the son of former NBA All-Star Shareef Abdur-Rahim - added 16 points for Seton Hall Prep.

Junior Dwaine Jones led Neptune with 15 points, including 13 in the second half. Seniors Jared Kimbrough and Scott Fields each added 13 points in the loss.

(5) Long Branch 60, (6) St. John Vianney 53

Senior Tyree Morris scored 23 points and the Green Wave (2-4) topped the Lancers (2-4) in the first consolation game of the day at the Jubilee.

 

Husky Christmas Classic

At Matawan

Championship

(1) Union 59, (2) No. 10 Matawan 51

Senior Mike Dunne posted 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists, but the Huskies (4-2) fell to the Farmers (4-2) in the Husky Classic. Senior Reggie Tawiah added 11 points and sophomore Ethan Okelo chipped in 10 for Matawan.

Senior Derryan Whyte led Union with a game-high 25 points.

Third Place

(4) Old Bridge 56, (3) Ocean 51

Sophomore Jack Miller scored a game-high 22 points and senior Andrew Seager added 21 points and nine rebounds, but the Spartans (2-4) fell to the Knights in the third-place game at the Husky Classic.

Fifth Place

(5) Manalapan 59, (6) Carteret 55

Senior Brian Broderick scored 18 points and the Braves (3-2) edged the Ramblers (4-3) to finish fifth at the Husky Classic. Sophomore Ryan Knorr also poured in 17 points and senior Alex Purzynski chipped in 15 for Manalapan.

Seventh Place

(7) Edison 64, (8) Tottenville (N.Y.) 55

 

Non-Conference

St. Anthony (N.Y.) 67, No. 5 CBA 53

Junior Stephen Braunstein scored 14 points to lead four CBA players in double-figures, but St. Anthony pulled away in the final five minutes to deny the Colts (3-2) a road win in Long Island.

Sophomore Josh Cohen scored 11 points to go with 11 rebounds, junior Liam Kennedy poured in 12 points and senior Rob Mahala netted 11 for CBA.
