Class A North
Neptune 50, Colts Neck 48
Senior Jules Calhoun led four Neptune players in double-figure scoring with 12 points and the Scarlet Fliers (8-3, 5-2) edged the Cougars (6-5, 4-3) for their seventh straight win after beginning the season 1-3.
Senior Seth Harrington added 11 points and seven rebounds, junior Scott Fields scored 10 and junior Jared Kimbrough pitched in 10 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and five blocks.
Junior Dan Gaines led Colts Neck with 16 points, senior Brendan Clarke added 14 points and six rebounds and junior Ben Bosland pitched in 11 points and eight rebounds. Gaines hit a three to cut the Neptune lead to 50-48 with 17 seconds left and had a chance to win the game in the final seconds, but Gaines's three out of the corner missed wide and Clarke's tip missed the mark.
Class A South
Jackson Memorial 52, Southern 29
Senior Ryan Lucas poured in a game-high 20 points and the Jaguars (6-4, 3-3) routed the Rams (2-10, 1-5). Senior Nick Barba added 12 points for Jackson Memorial, while junior Jake DuBois led Southern with 14.
Non-Division
Point Boro 58, Brick Memorial 35
Junior Connor Costigan scored 15 points and the Panthers (8-3) handled the Mustangs (3-7) for their fifth straight win. Junior John Duda added 11 points and 11 rebounds for Point Boro.
Junior Anthony Argondizza led Brick Memorial with 10 points.
Brick 59, Wall 32
Senior Anthony DeStefano scored 14 points and the Green Dragons (7-3) hammered the Crimson Knights (4-6). DeStefano also had five rebounds and three blocks in the win.
Senior Brandon Williams pitched in 10 points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals, while sophomore Shane Williams contributed seven points, 10 rebounds and four assists for Brick.
No. 10 Central 63, Donovan Catholic 56
Senior Maks Gruszecki scored a game-high 25 points and the Golden Eagles (9-2) topped the Griffins (6-4). Senior Denis Corbin added 14 points and 11 rebounds while senior Zion Hardy contributed 11 points and five assists.
Junior Anthony Silvestrone led four Donovan Catholic players in double figures with 12 points. Sophomore Matt Melon added 11 points and senior Jared Small and junior Joe San Fillippo each added 10 in the loss.
No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 63, No. 5 Point Beach 61
Junior Teddy Sourlis scored a team-high 15 points and the Bulldogs (10-0) held off a late charge by the Garnet Gulls (9-2) to win their 10th straight to open the season while also snapping Point Beach's nine-game winning streak.
Sourlis hit three unanswered three-pointers early in the third quarter to help Rumson jump in front after the Bulldogs trailed at halftime, 25-24. Rumson built its lead up to 52-37 midway through the fourth before the Garnet Gulls rallied to within a basket.
Sophomore Ian O'Connor and junior Jack Solano added 14 points apiece while senior Tyler Pierson poured in 12 for Rumson.
Junior Danny Frauenheim led Point Beach with 18 points and eight assists while senior Steve Flanders and junior Chris Pina each pitched in 13 in defeat.
St. John Vianney 73, Asbury Park 68
Senior Dan Dinneny scored 27 points to go with 10 rebounds and four steals to lead the Lancers (3-7) to a road win over the Blue Bishops (1-9). Junior Chris Mikos added 14 points and nine rebounds for St. John Vianney.
Junior Donte Abrams led Asbury Park with 20 points.

At Jersey City Armory
Newark East Side 39, No. 1 Mater Dei Prep 35
Junior Kenny Jones scored a game-high 15 points, but the Seraphs (9-3) could not get over the hump against the unbeaten Red Raiders (10-0). East Side scored on its first possession and led the rest of the way, but never built a lead larger than nine.
Mater Dei had a chance to earn a game-tying opportunity, but could not grab the rebound on the missed front end of a 1-and-1 with seven seconds left. Senior guard and Stony Brook recruit Elijah Olaniyi snatched the rebound and scored to put the game away.
Mater Dei pulled within 36-35 on a three-pointer by senior Elijah Mitchell with 8.8 seconds left - Mitchell's lone field goal of the game. East Side shot 6-for-16 from the free-throw line for the game, but did go 5-for-8 in the fourth quarter.
Mater Dei trailed 26-18 midway through the third before Jones scored seven straight points to close the quarter and pull the Seraphs within one heading into the fourth. Jones scored nine of his points in the third and 12 of his 15 in the second half.
Senior Elijah Barnes added 11 points, six rebounds and three blocks for Mater Dei. He answered a thunderous one-handed dunk by Olaniyi with a tip slam of his own on the next possession, which cut East Side's lead to 30-29 early in the third.
Olaniyi led East Side with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
No. 2 Ranney 66, Montclair Immaculate 57
Sophomore Bryan Antoine scored 26 points to earn game MVP honors and the Panthers (9-2) held on to beat the Lions (5-7) for their eighth consecutive win. Ranney took a 53-32 lead into the fourth quarter before Montclair Immaculate trimmed the lead to single-digits.
Sophomore Ahmadu Sarnor scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half and sophomore Scottie Lewis chipped in nine points for Ranney.
MLK Classic
At Pemberton
No. 3 Freehold Twp. 77, Hammonton 57
Senior Steve Staklinski scored 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, handed out three assists blocked two shots to earn game MVP honors and the Patriots (12-0) closed the game on a 24-7 run to beat the Blue Devils (3-8) and extend their winning streak to 12 games.
Seniors Ryan Zyskowski and Bobby Weise each flirted with a triple double, with Zyskowski racking up 21 points, eight rebounds and eight steals and Weise contributing nine points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
No. 4 Toms River North 59, Cherry Hill East 53
Senior Jaden Rhoden scored 12 points to go with nine rebounds and six assists as the Mariners (11-1) topped the Cougars (8-4). Senior Mike Nyisztor and junior Holden Petrick each added 11 points for Toms River North, while senior Darrion Carrington added eight points, seven rebounds and eight assists in the win.
No. 9 Lakewood 64, Pemberton 48
Senior Adi Palmer put up 20 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists to earn game MVP honors and lead the Piners (8-3) past the defending Central Jersey Group III champion Hornets (5-5). Senior Dorian Vaughn added 11 points and 12 rebounds for Lakewood.
Regular Season
No. 8 CBA 73, William Floyd 39
Sophomore Stephen Braunstein led a balanced offensive effort with 15 points and the Colts (7-4) rolled to a win over William Floyd. Sophomore Josh Cohen added 12 points, senior Lucas Waraksa poured in 11 and junior Rob Mahala and sophomore Liam Kennedy each pitched in eight for CBA.
Hillsborough 47, Raritan 32
Senior Justin Black scored a team-high 12 points but the Rockets (4-7) could not keep up with the Raiders (5-6).
