Class A South
No. 10 Toms River South 57, Brick 25
Senior Marquis Davis and junior Tymere Berry scored 12 points each and the Indians (5-2, 2-1) cruised to a win over the Green Dragon (0-7, 0-4). Davis also handed out six assists and Berry had seven steals in the win. Junior Khaleel Green also had 10 points and four steals for Toms River South.
Brick Memorial 55, Lacey 27
Junior Aaron Scheiderman scored 14 points and junior Scott White added 11 to lead the Mustangs (4-2, 2-1) to a win over the Lions (2-4, 1-2). Brick Memorial held Lacey junior and leading scorer Chris Iapicco to 10 points.
Southern 54, No. 9 Jackson Memorial 47
Junior Jake Logue scored 10 of his game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter and the Rams (4-1, 2-0) outlasted the Jaguars (6-2, 2-1) to move into first place in Class A South. Senior Mike Gesicki added 18 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks for Southern.
Senior center Eric Carter led Jackson Memorial with 16 points.
Class B Central
Keyport 87, Keansburg 59
Senior Alex Thomson scored 24 points and senior Ezra Hill added 20 to help the Red Raiders (5-1, 4-0) handle the Titans (0-6, 0-4) in a Class B Central shootout. Senior Kason Preston scored a game-high 30 points to lead Keansburg.
Mater Dei Prep 60, Asbury Park 37
Senior Sam Miles scored 16 points to go with 10 rebounds and eight assists as the Seraphs (3-2, 2-1) beat the Blue Bishops (0-6, 0-3). Freshman Eddie Lewis chipped in 14 points and junior Tyshaun White added 12 for Mater Dei.
Sophomore Makal Fearon led Asbury Park with 13 points and senior Tyquis Davis added 12.
Class B South
Point Boro 56, Barnegat 37
Sophomore Peyton Wejnert scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Panthers (3-3, 2-1) pulled away to beat the Bengals (0-6, 0-3). Senior Will Boccanfuso added 13 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks for Point Boro.
No. 2 Lakewood 68, Central 43
Senior Ben Watson scored 19 points, pulled in 10 rebounds and blocked four shots to lead the Piners (5-1, 3-0) to a win over the Golden Eagles (1-5, 0-3), which helps Lakewood keep pace with Monsignor Donovan in Class B South.
Jackson Liberty 66, Pinelands 39
Senior Mike Healy posted 25 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks as the Lions (4-3, 2-1) rolled to a win over the Wildcats (2-4, 1-2).
Non-Division
Freehold Twp. 79, Freehold 57
Senior Chris Talbott scored 17 points to go with seven steals and the Patriots (6-3) beat the rival Colonials (1-6) in a non-division game. Senior Jordan McGill and junior Kyle Czajkowski scored 13 points each and juniors Dan Saunders and Tyree Wilson added 11 points each for Freehold Township.
Freshman Elijah Barnes led Freehold with 13 points and senior Glan Bates chipped in 11.
