2022 SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL ALL-STAR GAME

Many of the top girls basketball players at the shore got to close their high school careers in style Wednesday night when the Shore Girls Basketball Coaches Association hosted a Senior All-Star Game at Manasquan High School.  The 50 players selected were split into two teams and Team Liberty held on to beat Team Freedom 81-73.

The winning team was led by Mary Elizabeth Donnelly who scored 16 points and got to do it on her home court.  Amayah Bray of Manchester added 10 to the winning effort while Neptune’s Ahjanae Young topped the Freedom squad with 12 points.

The evening also featured the awarding of scholarships which were sponsored by Orthopaedic Institute Brielle Orthopaedics and presented by Dr. Shane Hollawell.

In addition the Shore Sports Network along with RYPT and Elite PT honored the Player and Coaches of the Year in the Shore Conference.

All proceeds of the game will be donated to Fullfill of Monmouth & Ocean.  Special thanks to RKE Athletic for providing the shirts for all the players and Manasquan High School for hosting the game.

Will Wishart (Shore) and Dawn Karpell (SJV) receive Coaches of the Year awards from Dr. Sharon Wentworth (Elite PT) and Bobby Smith (RYPT).

Madison St. Rose is honored as the SGBCA Player of the Year.
