Holmdel senior pitcher/shortstop Tyler Fischer is one of four finalists in the third annual New Balance Game Changer Awards, which recognize student-athletes who bring a unique level of excellence to their game and their community.

Fischer's inspiring story involves overcoming multiple open-heart surgeries and two near-death experiences to continue to play the game he loves. The Game Changer Award winner receives a $10,000 college scholarship as well as $2,500 in New Balance product for a charity or community organization of their choice.
