No. 1 CBA 12, Howell 4

CBA struck for five runs in the top of the first inning, which was enough to make a winner out of Chris Levonas in a Colts win over the Rebels.

Levonas retired the first nine batters he faced, including six straight strikeouts to start the game. He issued a leadoff walk in the bottom of the fourth, but bounced back by striking out the next three batters he faced.

Matt Vetrano led off the bottom of the second with a single through the left side for Howell's first hit of the game off Levonas and the Rebels hung an earned run on the Wake Forest commit when Aaron Wojenski flipped a single into right field to score Vetrano.

Will Fahey gave CBA a 2-0 lead with a two-run single in the first after the Colts drew three straight walks to open the game. Dan Russo added an RBI single and Jaxon Sevilla capped the first-inning rally with a two-run triple to deep centerfield.

Jayden Matejicka later added an two-run double that put CBA ahead, 9-0, in the fifth and sophomore Dylan Iwanyk crushed a three-run home run to centerfield to give the Colts a 12-2 lead in the sixth.

Braden Walsh also homered for Howell, a solo shot that took the 10-run-rule out of play in the bottom of the sixth.
