Class A North

No. 3 Middletown North 4,  No. 5 Marlboro 1

Junior Madilynn Boyce struck out 15 batters to give Middletown North their third win of the season. The Lions scored three runs in the top of the 6th to break the 1-1 tie. Junior Julie Sickler went 3 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBIs for Middletown North.

Manalapan 3, No. 6 Colts Neck 2

Manalapan scored three runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning and held on to upset No. 6 Colts Neck in Class A North action. Senior Jessica Sciafani went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 1 run scored for the Braves. Senior Rosemary Mager struck out four batters to help Manalapan win their first game of the season.

 

Class A South

No. 10 Southern at Brick Memorial; 4:15 p.m.

No. 7 Jackson Memorial 9,  Brick Township 0

Senior Hallie Wiener struck out 8 batters on her way to a shutout and helping Jackson Memorial win their third game of the season. Wiener also went 2 for 2 at the plate with two runs scored and senior Mya Bonilla knocked in two runs for the Jaguars.

Toms River North at Toms River South

No. 14 Central Regional 9, Toms River East 1

Central scored six runs in the top of the 6th inning to put the game out of reach against division rival Toms River East. Senior Bethanne Doderer struck out five batters and did not give up an earned run to lead Central to their first win of the season. Junior Faith Fisher went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored for Central.

 

Class B North

No. 1 St. John Vianney 9, No. 8 Manasquan 0 

Sophomore Madison McDougall pitched her first shutout of the season and struck out 16 batters to lead SJV against Manasquan. Sophomore Gabby Gonzalez went 3 for 4 with a homerun and 3 RBIs for the Lancers and senior Isabelle Cattelona went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs.

 

Class B South

Barnegat 12, Jackson Liberty 0 

Barnegat's bats got off to a hot start, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the 1st inning to win their first game of the season. Sophomore Brianna Dato went 2 for 2 with 4 RBI's and 2 runs scored and sophomore Jadeyn Bodziak had a double with 3 RBIs for Barnegat. Senior Jamison Hogan struck out seven batters for Bengals.

 

Non-Divisional

Freehold Boro 1, No. 12 Freehold Township 0

Senior Giana Abinanti struck out 10 batters on her way to shutting out crosstown rival Freehold Township and helping the Colonials start the season 3-0. Junior Esmerelda had a RBI single in the bottom of the 4th inning to give Freehold Boro the lone run of the game.
